Only other club I could see doing what we did would be the raiders, only desperate teams agree to terms like this.

Just read the article about Eastwood sacrificing the Kiwi's England tour end of last year so he could do a full pre-season to help out Graham, Tolman & Klem with the lowering of interchanges......not much sacrifice in Hoppa's request!

As a season ticket holder of four category one member passes I don't believe I'm getting value for my $$$! If players are suddenly allowed to sit out and miss games and then play the ones they want why should I be paying the full amount for my membership when clearly I'm not going to see the best available team play each week.
LOL

I've got a solution for William. If he isn't allowed to work on Sundays, well we won't pay him to play on Sunday's. In the eyes of the lord it would not be considered as work if he is doing it for the love of it.
Sundays are dedicated to spreading the word and its not negotiable.

It's an interesting situation. The club agreed to it first and foremost so there can be no hate toward hoppa from fans. Unsure how teammates feel about it but as long as it was clear as day from the outset I can't see an issue.
So Parra turned it down and then he played like crap for 2 years and now he is in court. It sounds like an unhappy relationship and I wonder why he signed with them in the first place. Anyway, if we make the semis/GF I would be 99% sure he won't play considering he was totally happy to forsake 2 years of prime RL salary. I don't know why this is even an unknown at this point. The indecision just puts more pressure on as we approach big games which is pretty unwelcome.
I respect him for following his faith but it could get pretty distracting once we get to the business end of the season. I can just see the will he/wont he play being the major story leading into the game. We can do without that.

Imagine if you had placed big bets on Sportstab for Bulldogs to win the premiership then this comedy raises it's head - all bets off as far as I am concerned

lol majority of this forum slandered the club for signing Hoppa in the first place, now after we've played a couple of ok games everybody is up in arms over this?

I'm not the slightest bit religious, so it's dumb as fuck to me, but I still don't really care that much to cry over it. As for being exposed/losing games because of this...if we lose a game because one player is known not to be playing and we are able to prepare accordingly, the other 16 players have a lot to answer for.

Press making a mountain out of a molehill because blue and white sells papers/clicks.

Don't you play an entire season for the chance of winning the big one? It seems strange you'd want to play with the knowledge you'll never participate for the greatest prize in rugby league. I can only imagine how price felt when he couldn't play in the 04 Grand Final and even Ennis during 2014.

Castle said last night that when Morris is back he's playing Fullback
yep that would make sense............by the time Bmoz is back he will have not played a game of football for about 10-11 months, spent a lot of that time on crutches and unable to run.......so Des chucks him in to the fullback roll (which requires extreme fitness) with a dodgy knee and no match fitness late in the year......he'd be carried off exhausted after 15 mins

Funny how people "respect" him for his faith in something that is tearing the world apart and has cost countless lives in religion? I would respect him more if he said that he just couldn't be fuked.

Too bad Hoppa is a much better fb ffs
Not really. Bmoz has been very good too. Id accept either of them at fb. Bmoz's main issue has been injury. Besides hop might kill it at centre too. What will suck is Sunday games when Bmoz is also out

Yes really. Hoppa is a much better fb and has Brett covered easily. He slots into the side so much better at the back than Brett. Only thing Brett has over Hoppa is his pace and power.

Ohh..and Brett also plays sundays when not injured lol.

What a laugh, what would Sharp know about good man management and recruitment Parramatta have been specialists in failure in both departments for the past 5 years.

and in the religion of Sexytimes, Sundays are dedicated to spreading the legs, and its not negotiable.

But Mormons wouldn't know that because they can't remove their magical undies on a Sunday!
