Last night Jamal Idris was awarded Most Promising New Talent in Sport at the 2009 Deadly Awards.

Since 1995, Vibe Australia has hosted the Deadly Sounds Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Music, Sport, Entertainment and Community Awards (aka the 'Deadlys').

These awards promote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander achievement as a marketable and growing force within Australia. The Deadlys also provide a tangible forum by which the wider community can learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander music and culture.

Johnathan Thurston took out the Outstanding Achievement in Rugby League.

To see the list of winners please go to http://www.deadlys.vibe.com.au/vibe.asp?PageID=2811

Please join the Bulldogs in congratulating Jamal for his outstanding achievements this year.

*sigh*

Great, just what he needs. More media exposure and awards to go to his head.

Just let the guy play his game and prove he's a superstar on the field with consistent performances. THEN the media can bang on about him like Jarryd Hayne.
