Looks a worry that could be the case hey ....start all over for centre consistency tho, unless Kiraz/Wilson combo are Gus' thoughts?I know some kennelers will be butt hurt, But the fact we have signed Bronson Xerri, Ethan Quai Ward and Melino 'Lino' Fineanganofo to the top 30 for next year, means Alamoti and Averillo are gone and goner
Avo has about a 20% chance of staying, due to his versatility . . . Alamoti, much less than that.Looks a worry that could be the case hey ....start all over for centre consistency tho, unless Kiraz/Wilson combo are Gus' thoughts?
We have plenty of backs signed now. We all know, its forwards we need and will target nowLooks a worry that could be the case hey ....start all over for centre consistency tho, unless Kiraz/Wilson combo are Gus' thoughts?
Lino is definitely a propI know some kennelers will be butt hurt, But the fact we have signed Bronson Xerri, Ethan Quai Ward and Melino 'Lino' Fineanganofo to the top 30 for next year, means Alamoti and Averillo are gone and goner
Maybe,Or could it be, we want big, fast, powerful centres ?Lino is definitely a prop
A successful club has a balanced squad. If they sign either Averillo or Alamoti, on top of the backs who are already signed for next year. We will have deficiencies in other positions. Thus leaving the balance of the squad out of whack. Like it or not. Both need to go.If the Dogs want both Avo & Alamoti, they’ll keep them both.
We only have Burto and KO as halves options, Rajab is likely to get an upgrade to the top 30 alsoA successful club has a balanced squad. Perham has been underwhelming too, I'd be surprised if he isn't being "shopped around"I think a lot will change between now and next year. Have plenty of quality backs, other teams have deficiencies in that area that Gus has good relationships with such as Canberra. Would expect lots of trades/player swaps etc. I would be very surprised if Avo is not resigned. Alamotti been a bit underwhelming his lack of speed probably means he is gone considering what Gus says about speed. I expect we will offer him a unders 1 year deal with the expectation another club will offer him a better deal.
Maybe, 5ft nothing blokes are rarely touted as enforcers thoughIsn’t the Lino bloke 5ft nothing?
I would be focussing on getting a specialist halfback as priority. We haven’t had one for a few years now and it shows in our performances. We have plenty of backs signed now. We all know, its forwards we need and will target now
You’re thinking Mason Lino the half. This is a different guyIsn’t the Lino bloke 5ft nothing?
I think the top 30 will be expanded, but not to 40. The nrlol are already talking an 18th team and when you look at the lack of talent on the open market for next year, where would they get an extra 210 players from? . . .i might see if i still have a pair of boots in the garageNot necessarily.. Xerri probably will need time in Reserves before he plays FG. The two Q Cup players are squad players and probably won't feature in FG. I would not be surprised if Averillo and Alamoti are both re-signed.
Also, the top 30 might be expanded to a top 40 by next season as the NRLPA are still negotiating the CBA. So these are most likely depth signings and not much more at this stage.
Haha.. I think it's more to include development players and some Reserves players so you don't have to go through this exemption shit and wait til round 11 to play whoever you want.I think the top 30 will be expanded, but not to 40.
