Alamoti has a pass in him but he normally plays on the other side of the field.. I personally don't mind if he gets first crack, but I just don't know where Averillo fits in the team given Skelton has already shown enough to suggest he is going to be more of a genuine threat.
If Skelton doesn’t start, there’s something seriously wrong. Alamoti I go with but I think Avo is losing his grip on centre but out of sheer luck, he may score back the fb role based on Hayze being average.

This sounds very dumb and full of excuses but anyway. All our sides lost this weekend apart from the Tarsha Womens Cup. We have an awful record at Belmore Sports Ground, reliable rumours saying players ended up dehydrated and by the sounds of it exhausted over the last couple of days of some hard trainings to which one was only yesterday and looked to be the worst training session of the lot. We weren’t good but it obviously wasn’t meant to be. I will start to worry if we looked even worse or the same against Manly when losses actually matter.

Maybe Ciraldo purposely smashed them yesterday to bring them into this game tired, sore and dehydrated? As like a test and to see which players stand up in conditions of fatigue ect and to also see how they fare when tired and out.

Is Casey fit again ? Would be in the fullback conversation has the odd mistake in him but has the ability to find space and has plenty of toe.

Could be. It just doesn’t add up does it. I think you are onto something. A thought could be that when we found our we weren’t really a chance for the 100k, Ciraldo pulled his thoughts into what u just said onto the trial match instead of being fresh and ready to play a good attacking, expansive game of footy.

100% would make sense if he purposefully made them play under fatigue to strengthen mentally and physically to be able to handle the grind.
Gus wasn’t negative after the game and looked chirpy so there’s definitely more to it.

well not sure if Joshie is fully fit for 80? Who knows but when came on , he did increase the tempo .. I just don’t see anyone replacing flanno, we did all pre season with burto and flanno bonding, don’t think CC gonna rip that apart over one game. One things for sure, Reynolds and brown going To fight it out for the last spot, be interesting to see which way CC goes
burto and brown would even be good, brown isnt bad jst needs consistent game time but either way there was sparks when both reynolds and brown were on the field, one can play hooker and one can play half so reed gets a break on that shoulder and flanno gets a rest permanently hahaha

Had avo scored things could be different. Thats a 12 pts turn around considering they scored the next set. On a hot day, when players not at full fitness yet, that could be just one moment that changed the game. They got the momentum, confidence, and getting better and better and we went into self destruct mode.

I understand we still have lots of issues to fix. But we could just be 1 moment away from an acceptable performance instead of feeling like we are so not ready and so far away from the standard of a top team

biggest factor was the fact our forward pack started losing the middle . Re watch and see how we kept up with them until Kikau was sent for hia. I think CCjust told them to enjoy it and gel. Idc we beat a second grade raiders outfit, the way we played last week was deadset the brand of footy we haven’t seen for ages.

today was like, pull back and just enjoy it, work with each other and will hit the straps running come rd 1

last week and today were two completely different game plans

We have used that line so many times over the last 10 years…..winners win. Simple as that. We are still a long way from being winners.

Alamoti and Avo don’t pass the ball, the only chance Fox has to get his hands on the ball is a Burton kick or Kikau pass on an edge…

how do professionals go through an entire preseason, training drills etc only to completely ball hog on game day? We have done this for years…. Sharks found their wingers all day.
Jake had our only line break assist despite not passing the ball, makes sense. Our wingers didn't get the ball in attack because there was literally no room for them. All our attacks were off shifts with practically no momentum while failing to play anywhere near straight enough to actually engage the defence. If our centres passed the ball out wingers would've just ended up over the sideline and you'd then complain about our centres giving them hospital balls. Flanagan, Burton and Perham were extremely guilty of this.

The one time we actually had some room on the edge was when Reynolds (I'm actually complimenting him) played direct and gave Jake some early ball. The defence couldn't just slide and was forced to make a decision that eventually lead to Jake putting Skelton into space who then kicked for Reynolds to score.

Given the chance he will give it his all.

Flanno and Burton isn’t the answer..well it doesn’t look that way. If they see it as the best we have at the moment the season is going to be painful because flanno will not improve.

Reynolds missed more tackles in his minimal minutes than anyone else on the field. He isn't going close to lasting 80 minutes.

If this is the case, it might be genius! cause why else would they train yesterday?

the solution still isn’t Burton and flanno, it’s been tried and failed. I don’t care who they play as long as it’s not flanno because he’s not improving.
