Plus our backs did not show any aggresion nor robust enough. Sharks are a punish in backs physical presence. We were mostly out bullied and enthused. Having said that we had our usual lack of momentum and inability to fight back. Not enough players put in to be the change needed for their teaam.
Yep out of our back 5 only Kiraz made metres. That’s a problem.

Burton's lack of involvement and Kikau going off was an issue for the Fox.. if Alamoti gets more involved, or if we replace him that will help that side out, and on the other side you put Skelton on for 80 and then we just need to sort fullback out.. I would personally go Burns or Casey if Perham can't sort himself out

His 2nd stanza was great but against boys...1st half I thought he wasn't great. He did look great though when they were rolling down field
He's not gonna bust open a line but I thought his work rate was decent at least.

Alamoti and Avo don’t pass the ball, the only chance Fox has to get his hands on the ball is a Burton kick or Kikau pass on an edge…

how do professionals go through an entire preseason, training drills etc only to completely ball hog on game day? We have done this for years…. Sharks found their wingers all day.

Playing against the top 4 team going into this season this year, let’s just relax and realize that roosters lost to manly by 20+ plus, does it mean they won’t have a good season?

Remember we had our side for the first time play together under pressure, this is going to be on top of list for CC and the coaching stuff to tell them this is where it all broke down…

I’m not expecting us to come top 4 this year but we definitely need to review this game and harness every error, every mistake, every missed tackle etc… to rectify it for round 1. Knowing manly they will be offloading the ball and moving it around with turbo lurking around to pounce.

not having TPJ not on really pissed me off, someone like him would have given us a early start to our sets and Franklin pele to then continue it for a stint. But big frank is definitely unfit and needs a heap of time to increase his fitness levels.

Alamoti has a pass in him but he normally plays on the other side of the field.. I personally don't mind if he gets first crack, but I just don't know where Averillo fits in the team given Skelton has already shown enough to suggest he is going to be more of a genuine threat.

If we want to see the best out of JAC with some ball then i think Skelton could possibly be that guy but its just bad timing right now. I really don’t think Burns defensively can keep up with the game that well enough and thats just mainly due to all the shit tons of injuries he has had on his legs throughout his career so he kinda isn’t a preferred option either. This has been said multiple times already but they are putting Alamoti on that side to help with his defensive issues (to which showed in the Sharks first try) with some known experience edge defenders in JAC and Kikau. Remember, we are a rebuilding team so stuff with these young raw players just has to be done firstly so it works better long term. It’s frustrating but its just what has to be done

Reynolds gets the 7 until the kid is ready. Flanagan is in the same class as Lewis, wouldn't make the sg ball team at 25.

I think Kiraz makes a better 1 than Perham, bring Skelton in on the wing.
i honestly think reynolds and burto would be a great halves pairing, josh can deff play the 7 role and can steer a team and has the experience to do so, and can also run the line and kick so i think he should wear the 7 as well until flanno proves himself which leaves little to no time

Yep, team lifted when he did.

It’s clear that flanno isn’t the option moving forward, question is if CC does something about it.
well not sure if Joshie is fully fit for 80? Who knows but when came on , he did increase the tempo .. I just don’t see anyone replacing flanno, we did all pre season with burto and flanno bonding, don’t think CC gonna rip that apart over one game. One things for sure, Reynolds and brown going To fight it out for the last spot, be interesting to see which way CC goes
