With Moses being off contract we obviously don’t have to swap anyone to secure him. Could only be due to cap pressure or unhappy player wanting a move. We need to find $2mill next year for Crichton and if sign Moses likely Thompson will be moved on but would think still need to shed a few of our mid tier players.
The caps jumped more than a few mil in 22/23. We are going to see another jump in 24.

We have also lost Jackson, Allen, schoup already (Allen’s partially paid this year but he was off the books for 24 and on half a mil+) throw in flopagun and his half a mil and Thompson and those 3 alone provide 1.8 mil reported. Granted a third player comes into the equation with say Crichton and Moses and a minimum wage.

That would still say pay Crichton, the minimum wage and leave 800k towards Moses. Without allocating any third parties, any cap increase or any other potential player movements e.g if averilo goes or what we have done with Jackson and schooup cash.

Thompson, the gun and Waddell would be the highest $ off contract players and we may end up offloading all 3.

People really thinking about releasing Kiraz? He’ll be a fan favourite and a gun player. Build premierships around players like that
Yeah I don't know where the rumour came from or why anyone would entertain it after the season he just had an him being on an affordable deal even after being upgraded.. Plus he can play anywhere across the backline. Like you said, to be successful you need players like Kiraz that play so hard and can create something out of nothing.

Stop replying.
Test yourself.
See if you can ignore any poster you deem a pest for 24hours.
Then work on 48 hours.
Then 72 hours and extend that.
Before you know it the pest will just be talking to themselves.
Anyone who allows themselves to get baited, or triggered, and replies has lost.

It's up to Kennellers to show some self management, if they don't want threads being hijacked :grinning:
All these frustrated comments after comments, and this here [emoji115]is the simple answer to the problem ..

From now on I won’t be watering the weeds, stop watering them and they’ll eventually die out ..

With the recent salary cap increase, we will have plenty in reserve, don't forget we're paying 450k for a 7 who is gone too . . .We can easily fit Moses under the budget.

The ‘gun will always have people to talk to, baby.

PS if getting triggered is a loss, @Bulldogs09 has lost more than Barrett’s Bulldogs.

Id say we would have enough for Moses and Leniu for 24, I do like Thommo but if we had to jetison him and save 800k . . . Its off to the casino

Yep.

Though if you factor in cap jumper few mil this year then have 2024 cap no doubt jump again.

Have had jackos 600k go. Saving some of Allen’s 500k this year and completely free next year. Schoup no doubt on 250kish gone.

Throw in Thompson 800k, Flanagans 500k, Waddell no doubt on alot more than he should be.

Realistically now Crichton has signed I’d say moses and leinu would be us saying goodbye to those above and minimal additions.

Though that said I think it’s a competing team.

Critta Jac alomiti xerri kiraz with Skelton fighting alomiti and xerri. Perham too.

Burto Moses

King Mahoney Leinu kikau rfm tpj

Sutton Davey with some kids like pele edwards topine Preston fighting maybe even nu brown on bench

Dont know why the fuck im bothering, but her you go:
2022 - 12th
2021- 16th
2020 - 15th
2019 -12th
2018 - 12th
And guess who came last in 2018? The fucking Eels. Not so hard to do a little research.
Thankyou.

Now I want you to pretend you are a Dogg rep in a meeting, sitting opposite Moses, both heads dizzy from argileh, and you say to Moses;

‘So Uleh, we can not offer you the ca$h that Tigers do, but we can offer you a chance at the title.”

Moses asks in English, ‘but Parra are a good team and have performed great the last few years. How have the doggs gone?’

You:
‘Well habibi I swear we r on the up we got that assistant coach from Penrith here’s the data:
2022 - 12th
2021- 16th
2020 - 15th
2019 -12th
2018 - 12th’

Moses: ‘ماذا؟ ?’

I say retain Thommo on 500k cash and that might create space for Moses and Leniu. Just.

Kiraz had a good 22 season but IMO he is still an unproven first grader until he maintains that for the second season. If his upset that the pathway to FB has been blocked, then he can go find that elsewhere. I would hope that Alamoti is not loooking for an exit. These two are not on huge money so I’m not sure why would look at moving them on. What’s the point?

We were going to move him to St George for Sullivan at one point.

All up to Kennel members to show self restraint if they want threads to stay on point.
Patience is a virtue, possess it if you can.
Often in a woman, but never in a man.

My mum used to say this. I don't think if was her own creation though,

I don't actually mind if threads move about a bit, it's part of the charm of the Kennel. One man's (or woman's) hijacking the thread is another's expanding the thread in new and exciting directions. This thread we are on, notionally about Stephen Crichton, has gone on for 118 pages, and everything we can reasonably say about him coming to the Dogs, or not coming, could have been said in two pages.
