I think it's time we used a private jet for the players and coaching staff to travel to and from all games outside of Sydney. They will arrive much fresher, do recovery on the flight and arrive home faster and be ready earlier for the next game. Big advantage over other teams and reduces the home ground advantage especially for the long haul away games, Cowboys, Warriors, Donkeys, Dolphins, Titans and even Melbourne can be a shit fight getting into and out of Tullamarine, a private plain could fly to Essendon, quieter and closer to AAMI Park. V'landys suggested in in 2019 but Covid got in the way, with that passed we can get on with it.

Imagine how much it would piss off the other clubs, plus make a huge statement as to how serious we are about getting back on top. As a bonus it's not a bad selling point for recruiting players, "you won't have to fly commercial if you come and play with us".

Good advertising/promotion for the charter company, they would be on TV before and after every one of our out of Sydney away matches. If we went 50/50 on the costs with the charter company and the NRL contributes the value of the commercial flight cost (as they do now) it would only cost us around $10k (for return Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Gold Coast), which we can easily afford. Get it done Warburton.

You’re assuming there’s an amazing opportunity for the charter company—please provide details of the private charter market in Australia.

The fuel bill along would be huge.

TBH, the other clubs wouldn't give a shit, if we had a private jet.

Have you done a cost analysis yet TT?
I know what the charter cost of a 20 seat private jet is and I know the NRL travel allowance, what I don't know is how much the advertising would be worth to the charter company. I do know how much spots sell on NRL jerseys and it's many times less than 50% of what a charter jet to/from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast costs. The longer haul flights would be more of course, but that's only Toonsville and Auckland, so not a big deal. Offer them a spot on the jersey if that's what it takes.

Selling the advertising/sponsorship is right in Warburton's wheel house.

Compared to the 20 seats on a commercial flight that the NRL pays for, a private charter would be more but not out of reach.

TBH, the other clubs wouldn't give a shit, if we had a private jet.
They would lose their shit, Politis would be a apoplectic, the opposition fans would be in a constant state of rage and envy every time we were shown boarding the private jet.

It's a clear statement of intent, we want back on top, and nothing will be over looked in the quest of achieving that.

The Price Gap is Closing: Comparable Costs Between Private Jet Charter and Business Class

The Australian private jet market is taking off as operators struggle to catch up with European and US markets, which experienced some of their best years on record in 2020-21.

French-Canadian manufacturer Bombardier has a backlog of over A$2 billion worth of private jets on order in Australia, just five per cent of Bombardier’s global backlog. The aviation industry as a whole is predicted to flourish over the next few years, defying an expected global downturn.

McKinsey & Company estimated that the commercial airline sector lost A$250 billion during the pandemic, but private aviation, particularly long-range private jet charters, saw an uptick in business.

According to Reuters, private aviation travel was up 15 per cent in May 2022 on pre-pandemic levels in the US, while The Australian reported that demand for private jets had increased a whopping 47 per cent in the same period down under.

People looking for a safer alternative to commercial airline travel are increasingly turning to private jet charter and Australian businesses are looking to cash in on the hype.

‘It’s cheaper to fly private’: the execs ditching Qantas

Companies frustrated with sky-high fares, frequent cancellations and long check-in queues at airports are opting for private jets as the rising cost of travel narrows the price gap with flying commercial.
Some corporates have even been able to save money taking a private jet over a commercial carrier for group bookings, according to Travala global operations manager Radka Wilson.

The Brisbane-based executive was recently able to shave $1000 off the cost of six travellers flying to Hamilton Island by chartering a private jet.
“They were even able to avoid the two-hour stopover in Brisbane,” Ms Wilson said of the flight she arranged for cryptocurrency platform executive Daniel Alexiuc.
“We originally received a quote of $8500 for all six to fly on Qantas and that was via Brisbane. But we then looked around and we were able to put them on a private aircraft for $1000 less, and it was a direct flight … it’s just a whole other level of flexibility.”

They have permanent charters, for example the NBA has 82 games in season, we only need less than 10 flights.
The cost is say $25k x 10 = $250k, the NRL pays say $100k for commercial flights, that leaves $150k, split 50/50 with the charter company for advertising = $75k. That's the cost of a spot on the back of our shorts.

"Decent jersey sponsor", fark off, our corporate partners programme brings in over $2.5 million a season

Why are we talking 20 seats? 19 players minimum go to these games, and Andrew Davey will need a spare seat for his legs. So what happens to the staff? Without adult guidance and a bit of space the only recovery the players are going to find is from raiding the mini bar

20 "SEATS" doesn't mean that there is not other space on the plane not occupied by a seat.

I just used 20 as an example, there are 30 seaters.
