He's dellusional to suggest that our opinion re Turbo's try could be swayed because of the team you support. All of the commentators on Fox including Vossy, Alexander, Anasta and Cronk, who are experts in terms of the game, said it was a no try. None of them support Manly.

Give yourself an uppercut Anusley.

This collection of officials are useless. Absolutely useless.

The game really needs Bill Harrigan back involved, more to the point, as boss of the referees.
Harrigan was a disaster when he was referees boss.

Why bring him back?

I'm sick of the rubbish decisions. Our team is woeful and they struggle to score but I've seen woeful decisions that have robbed our team with legitimate tries taken off us.

1. DWZ v Gold Coast. Alleged obstruction under the posts. We score in the corner - no try.

2. Cotric v Penrith? when we score off a kick. Cotric ruled offside.

3. Manu v the Warriors when the winger dropped the ball before Katoa hit him. Katoa on report. No suspension. Genuine try.

Then we have.

Turbo - try despite dropped ball
Warriors when player offside - try
etc etc.

There are heaps more examples.

not sure if this should be under the match day game thread? His comments relating to the game start at about the 17th min mark. Essentially the penalty against Stimson for pulling hair was correct and Turbo’s try was correctly awarded. ‍

"Is hard for me to say that's a wrong decision."/"The criticism doesn't match up to the reality."

Nice work there by Joseph Goebbels. It's about consistency too. We saw a no try similar to Trbojevic's last week not awarded to Allan. Interesting that he alludes to softer sentences with the finals coming up. Why am I not surprised?

You guys are all wrong. I've looked at this on super, dooper slowmo. Turbo definitely regripped.
1) ball in right hand
2) he has gripped his one testicle (for the sake of this explanation, lets call it Graham) in the left hand at the same time.
3) knowing he needs to get it to the right hand, he has released the ball and regripped Graham wit his right hand
4) whilst holding Graham, he has regripped the ball with his left hand
5) knowing Graham doesn't like his right hand, he has released the ball near Graham as a distraction and quickly regripped with a left hand/right hand combo (to fool Graham into the idea he was getting the left hand)
6) he has then regripped the football and put it down
Now - that is a combined total of five regrips. More than enough to satisfy both Graham and the refs. Time to move on gentlemen - right call!!!

NO!

He's the one that started all the crap against us. He's the one that started the predetermining of decisions & what people were doing. Corey Hughes, must have done something wrong so penalise him. It's because of Harrigan he left the club!

Dog of a decision
Manly probably still would have gone on to beat wooden spooners Canterbury regardless of the refereeing leg-ups they were given on Sunday, but it still doesn’t excuse the poor officiating.
Not only did the bunker stuff up in awarding Tom Trbojevic's try early in the second half, the on-field ref missed a blatant obstruction in the lead-up that should have led to a Bulldogs penalty.
Instead, the Sea Eagles collected six points.
The hair pull penalty on Marty Taupau was almost as laughable. That cost the Bulldogs a further two points.
Manly fans can point to the John Aloiai sin-binning as justification the poor decisions went both ways, but at least it didn't cost the Sea Eagles on the scoreboard.
As Canterbury coach Trent Barrett freely admitted, his side isn't good enough to overcome such dud calls.
It only adds weight to the game's conspiracy theorists who believe teams at the bottom of the table get a raw deal at the hands of officials.
The Aloiai decision was correct & he should have been punished more for what he did. He looked directly at Jackson & kicked him in the head. In the past that would have been a send off!

Disaster compared to this mob? These retards can't get 1 game right without a controversial call
Harrigan started this downward spiral.

Harrigan's regime couldn't get a call right either and he defended every single one.

Actually nothing has changed since Harrigan F@#Ked things up and got fired.

The thing is, with this useless , incompetent mob of fvckheads in charge the game will die, the game that we know anyway. A tap on the arse will suffice as a tackle, scrums will disappear completely, why complicate a try by grounding it correctly, just do as the NFL does, just get across the line and you score. Get rid of the 6 tackle rule and make it unlimited again and the refs don't have to bust their arses rorting the lesser teams. And when the crowds return after covid they wont notice the enormous drop in numbers anyway.

Harrigan is actually the son-in-law one of my neighbours - see him all the time. Asked him about how fckd up reffing is these days and he said 2 things. The video replays highlight stuff to the nth degree and gets to a point the rules weren't made for the degree of resolution. The other thing he said is that Annesley is a right royal fwit, has a sick mummy thing going on and has a major issue with root vegetables that have involved visits to hospital wards.

Think he's right.

Hair pulls this year in Canterbury games (judiciary charges)
Rd 5 Ogden fined $1,150
Rd 12 Hopoate fined $1,150 (I had to contact the NRL for this "contrary conduct" because I looked at the footage & Couldn't see anything, no remonstrations from the pullee either).
