Can’t believe we even considered it

The Bulldogs contemplated throwing Ash Taylor a lifeline for next season earlier this month but are now unlikely to make a play on the Gold Coast’s $1 million-a-season playmaker.

Which means the one-time prodigious talent who once drew comparisons to being the next Johnathan Thurston is looking unlikely to find another NRL home for next season.

The Canberra Raiders are also still on the hunt for a no.7 and discussed making a play for Taylor but at this stage are monitoring the Mitchell Pearce and Luke Brooks situations.

Yeh it probably went like this:
Titans: would you be interested in Ash Taylor
Bulldogs: Let me think for a sec…. Yeh nah. See ya.
Nekminnit: News headline. Bulldogs considered throwing Ash Taylor a lifeline
He's off contract though isn't he?

More talent than
Wakeham or flanagan, has talent and a good kicking game.
Id consider him for $250k, gonna need another half when burton plays origin
Cant have those two and buy this guy too(i don't rate him but agree he is better than our two), Gus says we're fucking broke, different story maybe if we can offload one or both and free up $$$ ...

How crap do you have to be to behind Pierce and Brooks in the pecking order?
