He's a good player at the right price. Before he wasn't worth what he was asking. Now that he's been sacked, he's half the price and would be good value. He'd definitely fill a need up front.

The only worry is signing a guy who makes such dumb decisions but you'd hope that after this he'd be on his best behaviour. I'm sure he'd have strict provisions in his contract if he does mess up.

I find the whole suspension thing odd. He gets 8 weeks while under contract and then subsequently gets sacked. For me I think as long as he doesn't play again this year (which the NRL has that power via not authorising a 2021 contract) then if he signs one for 2022 then he shouldn't have to sit out for 8 weeks. All it's doing is penalising the next club. I mean he will miss the rest of the season already and then lost a few hundred k already? Thoughts?
