Dufty is great in attack, not only will he help the ball get to the wingers, but hopefully averillo (assuming he stays in the halves) will actually have a fullback to pass to and will learn from this when our next fb option is sorted for 2023. The 1 year deal gives me hope that
1. The club knows he is only a necessary stop gap
2. They are beginning to be more acute when dictating terms of a contract (not being afraid to offer and persisting with shorter/cheaper deals)

Bro, I didn't want to sign him either but it's a cheap one year rental. It's not the end of the world. If he doesn't work out, he'll be gone in 2023 and they can try and sign the long term solution.
Disregard his ability for a moment. We just had Baz fuming about our players breaking Covid protocol yet he has gone ahead and signed a reject from another club barely a week later after he did the same thing? Wtf? What sort of standards are we setting at the club? Then again we can't even get a team sheet right..

I agree with you on all of that. Napa shouldn't have been selected, that was disgraceful. It's a worry moving forward in terms of the culture. And I don't know how he fucked up with Renouf/Stimson when every fan knows that rule.

At least we’ll also have a specialist fullback playing in their correct position too

Im not confident of moving Allan or Flanagan on at all. They have little appeal for other clubs.

I really hope Dufty comes here and kills it but giving what’s happened with Allan this year and Duftys inconsistency I don’t think Tbaz is the coach to turn players around.
Baz needs to put Allen back to FB and see how he goes. Meaney is leaving anyway. Wing for him while Baz evaluates Allen at FB. There's no other spot for Allen atm except Hoppa's centre spot. Next year? No where, unless he gets some confidence in himself back.

If he goes alright, his confidence may improve and we might see that Souths player from late last year or, if not, we know he must be shopped asap as he has no future here and even he will realise that.

Same theory, and playing option for Flanno.
(Or just freeze him out as Baz seems to be doing....which is unprofessional).

Baz knows next year is make it break… I’m pretty sure he can see what we see knowing he slapped Lewis and dropped Flano last night. I just hope they have a few more signings and next year could potentially be a top 8 finish. Reason I say this is that dufty on a one year contract, baz has to prove something, our current signings are massive upgrades to what we have so it’s basically a prove your the right man scenario next year.

If we get the same results as this year I’m certain baz won’t see out the rest of his contract.

He's a specialist? Ha.
Plz don't celebrate after the 1st 10 trys he scores next year. What are you whinging about. It's now the fastest backline in the comp. Had we not have signed him who plays fullback next year Allen?

The top fullbacks like turbo, papa, teddy, sheck, ponga etc. Are not available. What else do you want?

It defies any sort of coaching nous to keep picking him!

You could put a pot plant out there and they'd do better.

So frustrating for the majority of the team to put in only to see the likes of Floppa, Waddle, Stinkson, Crapatoa, Dyltakeanapa amble around, miss tackles or drop passes.

The team look like they could improve at least 30% without these mistakeathon players cruelling all the other players efforts.

Like to see Baz get much more reactive to poor performance and put in effort players to replace. Maybe 2 at a time but something needs to be done to encourage the other guys who must be so down about all the mistakes stopping any momentum they earn.

I'm not going to slit my wrists because we signed him. He would have had no bargaining power at all, no other clubs wanted him and it's a one year deal. But we better get a move on signing a hooker and some decent forwards.

He is probably signed on minimum, 1 year to see what he is worth. Low risk
