Getting his kit off and acting the clown on mad Monday in an incident which generated no complaints snd bothered nobody except the media jackals who were hunting for a negative story and got caught in camera 5 years ago wiggling his dick around in a private environment? Sorry, but neither of those “offences” are anything too serious. The club should be offering him support to help him curb his binge drinking perhaps.... but he is far from the only player who has an apparent problem with binge drinking. The nrl culture sees teams and players binge drinking on a regular basis and many of them getting up to much worse antics than Elliott has been involved in.

The club needs to offer him support.... if the playing group really don’t want a bar of him and his position is untenable (which I strongly doubt) they need to tell him he won’t be playing first grade due to tensions with the playing group but is free to look elsewhere.... but I really don’t think it will come to that. He is by all accounts very well liked within the team snd I’d expect the club will rally behind and support him.

I don't think Elliot was really being selfish in regards to the team and de-railing their pre-season.
This just happened in the spur of the moment after a lot of alcohol.
He should never have been alone with her because this is the type of thing that happens, all good in hindsight.

I hope everyone can move on and he learns from it.

Wonder if Khoury or Warburton will do the media? I’d prefer Baz stay at training and try to keep the players focussed, which will be very hard for some right now.

Khoury will need to be careful how he handles this. He apparently spat the dummy when George Coorey wasn't shown the door for allegedly sexually harassing the women who went to the SMH. My mail is that's what started his fallout with Lynne and some others. He blamed them for not getting rid of Coorey without as much as a witness statement, and just stopped talking to them. Let's see how high he sits on his moral horse when a player is involved.

I don't think we've had genuine leadership at the club since Ennis and Graham left. Those two had the respect and full attention of the whole squad when they spoke.

Both were very vocal and were almost like having two extra coaches. Having that type of presence within the squad is invaluable and it's something we've sorely missed.

Especially agree about Ennis. Felt he played his best football as captain.
