- Kara then intejects " Michael is not the only Hooker that resides in this household"
- Elliott with a baffled look on his face looks at both and slurs " Are you sure you have the right guy, I'm just a dummy, not a dummy half"
- Lichaa smiles at Kara " how do you want this to play out , Chill out here ,or Chill in de house"
- Kara looks at Elliott and grabs his " hands, touching hands, reaching out, touching me , touching you"
- Lichaa has taken out his penis and his guitar and is belting out his favourite song " Sweet Karaline"
-Elliot starts to do the a helicopter dance all the way to the back of the garage
- Kara follows him there shouting
Who let the dogs out?
Who, who, who, who, who?
Who let the dogs out?

Firstly I'd like to thank DinkumDog for this post....it is what Barrett had to say during this past AGM

Baz: The four pillars for the playing group: Honesty, Trust, Respect and Accountability.
Big focus on building of culture.

Honesty, Trust, Respect and Accountability 4 honorable goals and all of which Adam Elliott failed to uphold. :( His very actions have gone against the principals that TBaz is trying to install into our team and ferment as part of our culture. Barrett and the team, just as many of us here on the kennel will be feeling let down by Adam's actions. Our sponsors will be shaking their heads thinking to themselves not again...Only time will tell what the ramifications of his actions will be but it is sure to cause disharmony amongst the playing group.

Well said. You make a great point. It's an early test for Baz and the new Chairman/CEO to see what kind of message they'll send and how much they value those principals.

I don't think we've had genuine leadership at the club since Ennis and Graham left. Those two had the respect and full attention of the whole squad when they spoke.

Both were very vocal and were almost like having two extra coaches. Having that type of presence within the squad is invaluable and it's something we've sorely missed.
And how many premierships did that give us having them as leaders? I don’t care how many dickheads we have in this team, I want results and a coach that can deliver a game style a hell of a lot better than the last two duds we had did.

Feel your pain mate. Hope things turned out all right for you.
Yeah mate, in time things got better. There was a lot of anger and hostility for a while which made things hard, especially when it came to seeing the kids. Eventually I forgave her for what she did but won't ever forget, not that she deserved it but for my own mental well-being. We now have somewhat of a friendship for the children's sake and get a long with each other. We both have new lives and partners so I'm pretty happy in general with how life is going.

Because of their leadership on and off the field, we had our best results in the last decade. It's no coincidence that we started losing a lot more games after they left and haven't made a grand final since then.

Thankfully we have the coach and squad to be a premiership threat again soon.. But we need someone to step up in terms of leadership roles and having a strong voice within the playing group to help hold people accountable on and off the field.

Best way to handle it is to nip it in the bud. Our leadership need to get all the info and if it's how it's being said in here then either rip up his contract (if we can) OR tell him he's now a NSW cup player and welcome to go elsewhere. Tell the FG squad to distance themselves from him, that behavior goes against everything we want at this club and set the bench mark!

Well less than 2 weeks to our trial with the sharts. Hopefully the team is hooking in with 100% focus on the 27th.

That is the honorable thing to do.... problem is, Adam doesn't have an honorable bone in his body!!!
He does have a brain though, be it the size of a peanut.

Bottom line is The club needs to move him on if they want to keep pedaling an expensive and time consuming
PR and marketing program which he has already turned it on its head numerous times... Cant have people like this around a Family club.

Elliott antics give Barrett’s new Canterbury credo an early test

Honesty. Trust. Respect. Accountability.

Just before lunch last Sunday, new Bulldogs coach Trent Barrett told football club members that these would be the four pillars that the club’s culture would be built upon under his tenure.

“Values for me are really important,” Barrett told members tuning into Canterbury’s annual general meeting via Zoom.

“One of the things we’ve worked hard on this year – post Christmas it’s been an everyday thing for us – is building the culture.

“Being able to identify, for us to know what we’re about, here at Canterbury.”

Just a few hours prior to uttering those words, Adam Elliott – a member of the Bulldogs’ senior leadership group – allegedly kissed the partner of one of his closest friends, former teammate Michael Lichaa. Happy Valentine’s Day.

The incident triggered an altercation between Lichaa, his partner Kara Childerhouse and Elliott. Lichaa’s fate will be decided in court after attracting three police charges, beginning with the first mention of the case at Sutherland on Wednesday.
The question for the Bulldogs is this; what to do with Adam Elliott?

Given the incident is a private matter that took place in a private residence – no charges have been laid against Elliott – the NRL is unlikely to sanction him. An argument could be made that the Bulldogs forward has brought the game into disrepute, but it is likely to be a matter for the club rather than the governing body.

Which will put the onus for action on Canterbury in what is shaping as an early test for Barrett’s pillars. The response has the potential to not only shape the season ahead but also place a marker for what the “family” club’s new regime stands for.

There is a new coach, new chairman, new chief executive and new recruiter (former Eels talent spotter Peter Sharp starts on Wednesday). How will they respond to rugby league’s very own Wayne Carey moment?

Most mornings, Bulldogs players are engaged in a discussion about culture upon their arrival at Belmore at 7.45am. It’s part of an initiative introduced with the help of another new staffer, former All Blacks coach Steve Hansen. What would Hansen have done with Elliott had this happened in his previous gig?

Such incidents have the potential to torpedo a season before it has even started. This time last year the club was rocked by revelations of players Jayden Okunbor and Corey Harawira-Naera becoming embroiled in a sex scandal. The pair were deregistered and then had their contracts reinstated on appeal. The Bulldogs never recovered and narrowly avoided the wooden spoon. If the latest issue isn’t handled judiciously, Barrett’s tenure could get off to an inauspicious start.

The matter is a delicate one for the club hierarchy. Elliott is one of the game’s premier forwards, one who took less money to remain a one-club player after knocking back a huge offer from the Warriors. If his contract is ripped up, the 26-year-old won’t struggle to find a new club.

Off the field, the Bulldogs have seen the best and worst of their star forward. The Tathra product was nominated for the Ken Stephen medal for his community work, which has resulted in tens of thousands of dollars being raised for the Autism Community Network.
“He’s the world’s greatest bloke when sober, the problem is when he drinks,” a source close to Elliott said.

For proof, look no further than his Mad Monday antics from 2018. Elliott was fined $25,000 for wilful exposure, while the club was slugged $250,000 by the NRL, an amount that was later halved. It’s not the only time nude pics of the back-rower have made their way into the public domain.

“I’m through those dark times now and I’m a lot wiser,” Elliott told the Herald after the Mad Monday debacle. “I’ve learned from what happened.”

Canterbury powerbrokers are agonising over what to do next. Of all the feedback to be considered, that of the senior leadership could prove pivotal. Some members remain close to Lichaa.

Barrett is said to be in favour of retaining Elliott. If that occurs, Elliott will need to own his mistakes and repay the faith. Otherwise, those pillars won’t stand for anything.
