The Bulldogs Football Club can confirm that Chair Lynne Anderson and Directors Paul Dunn and John Ballesty will stand down from the Board of the Bulldogs Football Club with immediate effect.

The trio have confirmed that this decision was done to avoid the club having to go through an EGM and in the best interests of the club moving forward.

The Football Club would like to sincerely thank Lynne, Paul and John for their time, effort and commitment during their time on the Board and wish them every success in the future.

The Herald are reporting it:

Embattled Bulldogs chair Lynne Anderson and two other board members are expected to stand down on Wednesday, a week after a faction of the club's angry sponsors and voting members formalised a coup to overthrow them.

The Herald has been told by sources with knowledge of the situation that Anderson, the daughter of Bulldogs godfather Peter "Bullfrog" Moore, is tipped to confirm she will part ways with the club.

She will join former premiership winner Paul Dunn and John Ballesty in leaving the board. The club is expected to release a statement to confirm the exit.

Anderson, Dunn and Ballesty faced being subjected to an extraordinary general meeting after 116 signatures were handed to chief executive Andrew Hill last Tuesday.

Dunn said last week if he left the club it would be in a "much better position than what I found it in".

Sources close to the board said Anderson didn't want to drag the club through a potentially toxic EGM, which was triggered by unhappy club sponsors and voting members.

The board changes will again raise questions about the club's recently signed major sponsorship with Laundy Hotels. The business has threatened to walk away from the club due to the political infighting.

The remaining four members on the football club board are Joe Thomas, John Khoury, Adrian Turner and Peter Mortimer.

Anderson led a ticket which swept to power in early 2018, dethroning longtime chairman Ray Dib. She had vowed to rebuild the club and told supporters it would take until 2021 for the Bulldogs to have salary cap space to target free agents.

That also means a shake-up for the League Club board too. Whatever happens I just hope there is some stability and our efforts for improvement in 2021 are not de-railed.

Sounds like she doesn’t have the numbers. This situation was totally avoidable but it’s done now hopefully the remaining board members make some wise choices in replacing the 3 and we can move on.

I guess we now know why the club was so quite....

She almost certainly did have the numbers, but how do you think 2021 would have shaped up if this shitfight went to an EGM in 6 weeks? Not worth the fight.

Rubbish that’s all to save face.
Not rubbish at all. Staines already said no. Who is going to say yes in the current climate? No doubt a deal will have been done to ensure parachute boy and his clown friends will not get their hands on the silverware. And replacements will have been mostly lined up already.

Don’t agree at all there’s no way she walks away without a fight unless she knew she didn’t have the numbers.

will wait for email from the club.. funny that these sort of emails rom the club seem to go to my junk folder, others like team lists come to my main folder.. Lastly, To be honest this better be the end of it, I couldn't care less who was running the club, just get the job done.

What's the point of sticking around with a handful of f#2kwits continually feeding shit to Weidler, Rothfield and co. and deliberately tanking the chances of any improvement next year. She hasn't been paid a cent this year and has a day job as CEO of the Paralympics. Why wouldn't you let someone else cop the sh#t?

Maybe because it’s the job she put her hand up to do? Anyway it’s done now hopefully they can find decent replacements.
