We've finalised our brand new Coaching and High Performance staff for 2021, with Dan Ferris to be our new Head of High Performance.

Ferris, who is currently Head of High Performance with the Gold Coast Titans and had previously worked with Head Coach, Trent Barrett, at the Manly Sea Eagles, will oversee a new group that will include Strength and Conditioning Coach Luke Portese, who will make the move from the Penrith Panthers.

In addition, we will have a new Chief Medical Officer, with former Waratah and Australian Sevens player, Luke Inman, taking over that role.

Inman, has had a number of high profile medical roles in sport, including working with the Waratahs, Sydney Swans and Australian Men's and Women's Sevens Rugby Union teams, in addition to the Manly Sea Eagles, Sydney Roosters and Melbourne Storm.

The club's full Coaching and High Performance Staff for 2021 is now complete and listed below.

2021 - Bulldogs Coaching and High Performance Staff

Trent Barrett - Head Coach
David Furner - Assistant Coach
Craig Sandercock- Assistant Coach
Mick Potter - Mounties Canterbury Cup Coach
David Tangata-Toa - Transition Coach
Dan Ferris - Head of High Performance
Luke Portese - Strength and Conditioning Coach
Luke Inman - Chief Medical Officer

looks like we've managed to assemble a solid coaching team that all have long term experience. glad for changes top to bottom as they were needed and confident that we will be a much better team just for having these guys coach and train us. who is replacing steve james as catch and pass coach?

Vastly improved lineup top to bottom. Some will argue Ferris but he’s got plenty of NRL experience. I don’t know Portese but Inman comes with a very good reputation and track record so is a good get.

I like Luke Portese - have NFI who he is but if he's the current strength and conditioning coach for the Panthers then he's doing a good job because they look strong, fit and fast. Bring it on

So Penrith told Baz not to poach their players but he can poach their coaching staff? Looks like Baz told the Panthers to shove it

Like some have stated, our fitness is putrid. I reckon they get to training and the coach says "do a couple of laps boys". They jog around the field for a couple of laps and then go on to focus on their 1 out hit ups for 5 tackles then practice the mid field bomb. Hit the showers and go back to Pays to play FIFA
