The average first innings score with the drop in pitch here is 330 odd. No doubt the day/night games played may have brought the average down a bit
No doubt. Those night sessions are nasty for batting.

Well, there ARE approximately 50 billion Indians who would pay for curry enemas if Virat was on tv telling them it was a good idea.
7 billion, 20 billion, 50 billion.

the population of India seems to be growing by a billion every minute

Maybe just stick with billions and be done with it.
Boring last session.
Was hoping we'd be batting by now...

I'm a bit disappointed too. They are starting to let this tail wag. Of India survive the day, after their start, they should be very relieved

tbh it looks a fairly decent batting wicket, there is a little bit with the new ball but get through that and it looks like happy days out there.

Yeah it's a 370 + wicket.....
Maybe that bit of green early on caused a bit of strife

Yeah i think the best of the batting conditions is going to be tomorrow and maybe into saturday, will be interesting how we go. Our batting line up seems so susceptible to batting collapses in all forms of the game, hopefully they make india fight for every wicket and can post a decent total.

I think the lebs are not that polite they usually say "yalla roh" meaning "quick, keep walking" or "get lost"

sand niggers over here can correct me if I translated that incorrectly.

Really don’t understand the selection of Finch... he is a one day and t20 specialist. Can’t remember the last time I saw him build an innings
Very few cricketers can, and this is why tests are rarely seeing day 5, let alone finish in a draw.

in the last few years, I can only think of guys like Dravid, Amla and Cook who can/could dig in for hours. Even David Warner, for all of his talents and runs, has never carried his bat for an entire day (that's i can recall). T20 and ODI has had a detrimental effect on that aspect of batting. Sure, we see more sixes, but I can't see us ever seeing another Brian Lara. I was in the Virgin islands when he was in nearby Antigua scoring 400 against England in 2004. It was so special to watch.
