We should have stuck with Sharon. The way I look at it we are potentially paying 200-300k of his salary? It is reported we are offering Napa 650k so in Essence we would be ending up with a similar prop yet still paying a similar amount as what we were at the start of last year adding up what we are offering Napa and still paying Sharon. Seems a pointless player swap as we are forking out with same as last years cap on a starting front rower of similar ability. Sign young talent and be done with it.

I think its an issue from motivational side as well, e.g.how can one motivate himself getting half the pay hes getting from previous years
To get his fat arse another contract, i prefer that concept. Think about it no worse than what there doing now.

Look at the pain they have caused the supporters...
Drama follows us week.in and week out.
What happened at mad monday .....
Did we back the players?
Did we back our brand,
Did we stand up to the press?
Did we roll over?
We need tough leadership.
We are a laughing stock on and off the field.
Weak as piss.
We stand for nothing

https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/storm-in-sell-off-mode-to-keep-skipper-smith-20181117-p50goa.html

Storm are trying to retain Smith but they need to offload kasiano and Patrick kafusi, warriors are interested in kasiano but need offload someone to sign him. I think dogs could use this to their advantage and buy someone cheap?
Okay so here is a novel idea:

Tell the Warriors we will take one (or a combination) of:
Solomone Kata
Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad
Sam Lisone
Hayze Perham

and that will clear the way for them to sign Kasiano.

I'd seriously ask them for Lisone and Perham, or Perham and Nicoll-Klokstad..

Perham is an absolute gun, and fast as hell.
CNK decent and can cover the entire backline.

My advice mate, go cry in your cornflakes while supporting another team. If the Mad Monday antics really are the worst you can come up with about our club then ....

We made it through all the Super League stuff, Coffs Harbour, the salary cap scandal ... I mean, are you REALLY trying to slag off our club over the Mad Monday beat up?

Napa was quoted this morning saying he is keen to honour his roosters contract. This to me means once again we will pay overs to get someone. And once again it’s someone we don’t need

Just because someone is disappointed at the way the club has handled things it doesnt mean they are any less of a supporter than you ,it is what it is

Mate, not sure I'm saying he's less of a supporter than me ... if anything, being the furthest away from games I imagine I do the least amount of 'supporting' on here.

Maybe the 'Bulldog Way' has changed since I was in the thick of it 20 years ago, so I should change with the times? Can't bring myself to continually bag the board that has only got into power and inherited a heap of sh*t. The most I think any new board has had to deal with ...

We were onced feared on and off the field.
The board has shown nothing in the last year or any signs at least that this will change.
We lack strong leadership,we are dictated in the marketplace, and quite frankly we are nowhere near that powerhouse club,in fact we are a shadow of our former selves.

I agree we're a shadow of our former selves. No where near that powerhouse club. Completely agree.

And that's all happened ... in the last year? Before the new board we were a powerhouse? Under Hasler's reign we were flying?

You do realise change takes time? The expectation that this board should somehow wave a magic wand and within 1 year we'd be back on top is crazy. Give them time and we will see.

Within a year, if we're in the same position or worse I'll be standing right there with you asking questions. But they deserve some time until then.

Signing Napa to replace Klemmer is a big downgrade. There is a significant amount of compromise there. $600K for Napa is insane money. Unless Chris Anderson has completely lost the plot, I doubt that we are offering anything like that.

The club has serious problems if their only marquee player ,their only current oz player wants out..
I blame the board ,its nominated representatives and no one else.
They have had ample time to sort this shit out.
This will bite them in the arse at the next elections from what i am hearing.
Yeh no worries.
The board have done all they can to keep Klemmer happy.
There's a lot you don't know about the klemmer situation.
The in roads the board have done to re-build the club from it's grassroots has been phenominal.
They are laying the foudations for a strong a successful club for years to come.

Also, may I add, the potential Napa signing isn't a replacement for klemmer or a knee jerk reaction like some may think.
It's something Pay has requested as a "type" of player that he wants in his pack.(Personally I don't see Napa as a great signing)
If there's a type of way Pay and the coaching staff want the team to play moving forward then we should all respect that and see what his plans are for Napa.
He could be coached to play really well and might surprise us.

There's areas of Klemmers game the club has identified as negatives.
The meters he makes up the middle is second to none without question, but David does lack in many other areas of his game which doesn't justify him being a $1.2m prop.
They have been forever trying to introduce an offload and passing game with him but it just hasn't worked out.
While his post contact meters are great, if you watch him closely he'll carry a few defenders with him, turns his back, makes another couple of meters backwards, falls on his back and his play the balls are very slow. But then the defensive lines would have set. David's lateral movement isn't the best when it comes to his defence and rarely put's a bloke on his back with a good hit.
We manage to make good meters up the field but there isn't any great speed to our game to create attacking chances.

We need our forwards to hit the line at speed, fall on their stomachs and play the ball quickly to create momentum with the occassional offload or passing at the line to really bend the opposing defence and create momentum. This will give guys like old man Foran and Lewis the freedom to create try scoring chances.

You cheat....only this time make sure you take care of the disgruntled employee....
More importantly, you make sure you don't upset a NSW Premier by announcing you don't need Homebush stadium because you are building your own in Liverpool, where it is outside the licence area and approved for a rival casino.
