I get your point but you can’t be satisfied with Pay this season. He has picked a poor bench week in and week out. He doesn’t know how to use his bench properly and we look worse than last season. You don’t have to play first grade to know how to pick a team. Take these two teams for example: Souths and titans have an inferior squad but look miles better than us.

I've watched bit of NSW cup and I honestly can't see any other way he can go. We haven't got a great roster in my opinion. First grade is a big step up from nsw cup. I understand what people are saying, I think it's our backs that are the problem more so than the forwards. We get up the field consistently but are just lost once we get there

You are totally right. However, it is evident changes need to be made. Some
players thrive in a better environment surrounded by better players. It doesn’t hurt to give them go when your “starting squad” is underperforming. I’m not saying throw the whole ISP team into first grade but make subtle changes to the bench and tweak the starting side if we’re constantly playing poor and not winning.

Might be the start of more changes. Rather than make a huge number of changes straight away, instead a few small changes and go from there.

True. Either way, i can't understand Pay's refusal to pick To'omaga. The bloke has worked tirelessly and is in great form in ISP, what more can he do? And then for a bloke to just walk into the side after just 30 minutes of ISP off the bench and an interrupted pre season? It just feels so wrong to me.

Let's look at it from a salary cap perspective where really we know shit about what our situation is other than what we read.

Is To'omaga in our top 30? If his not then we can't use him unless there are significant injuries and we need a dispensation from the NRL where he would be entitled to a pay increase. Does anyone know if we can fit an increase in? No we dont.

What I'm saying is that before we go like a bull out of a gate and criticise Pay get the facts because we don't know if he and others can't be picked based on the top 30 or cap constraints. If To'omaga is in the top 30 he could have a clause that states if he plays FG he gets a pay increase which again maybe we can't afford and has nothing to do with his ability and form.

What's so you don't think coaches put players on notice like Pay did Lichaa then dropped him?

Pay has made a couple changes this week instead of wholesome ones so let's see how we go and possibly we might see Elliot dropped if he under performs again.

Against the Cowboys he was one of our best so there is some potential there he just needs consistency. His still learning his trade mate in the NRL and can only improve with experience.

I think what’s overlooked with Frawley is the fact he’s trained the entire off/pre season at 6 (day in day out) and has been heavily involved in game tactics etc

Him playing 6 will allow Mbye to play a more traditional fullback role and just focus on running and supporting rather than the hybrid 1/6 role he currently forced to play

Foran looked better with Frawley than JMK too
