You guys are reading into this way too much. Barba has split from a long term GF with whom he has two kids. That would be hard to handle for a young man. He hasn't done anything wrong, if he was allegedly guilty of domestic violence like people have been suggesting it would have come out by now. He is just going through a tough time in his life, people forget he is only 23. Remember Greenberg has sacked Maitua for sleeping in. If Barba has done something as serious as what people are suggesting he would have been sacked. The club has a strict policy. The dogs want him back on the field ASAP, though they want him settled off the field. Instead of speculating, as fans we need to respect his privacy and support him. He's a massive part of our club. We love you Benny!!!

From what I know about aboriginal culture ( minimal ) . I have a close friend who in his culture (aboriginal ) mhe gives back most his income to family back home as support. He said this was difficult and demanding as his tribe depended on him to keep them going..

Could be family pressure back homers a portion of this ??

this tbh. Just because he hasn't been sacked doesn't mean he hasn't done something really bad (e.g. a domestic violence incident). Barba is so valuable for us in many ways - he's our best player and one of the most marketable players in the nrl. It would make sense that Greenburg is being cautious at the moment and biding for time before he has to make a big decision like sacking him. Hoping he hasn't anything criminal though

tbh i gave the unofficial reasons and if greenberg was to confirm it that you needed to be of a certain playing ability to receive dispensation then you have a point, but until then we should assume that all bulldogs players are held to the same behaviour standards

whats worse is that this barba situation seems to be more than missing training, so its an even wider double standard
