The only real hope by the sounds of this article is Hannant.

They go on to say that finals form will go a long way, then they state the coach will favour Prince over Cronk, and it is more than likely that Farrah will be selected as Smith's understudy.

What happened to NSW hooker Ennis? Do the selectors not remember how much Farah went missing in his first fourare into rep footy.

I may be a little biased when it comes to the dogs, but I don't recall the tigers getting a run in the finals this year?

They always stick with incumbents, which really sucks for the form guys.

...when they lose with the incumbents they say they want the incumbents to get a shot at redemption. Australia rarely lose twice so thus begins the circle of life.

I'm pretty worried, they showed last year that they were willing to reward GF winning teams with selections. Look how many Sea Eagles were in the world cup squad.

I will also be pissed if he is selected.

I would go with

  1. Billy Slater
  2. Jarryd Hayne
  3. Greg Inglis
  4. Justin Hodges
  5. Israel Folau
  6. Darren Lockyer (c)
  7. Johnathon Thurston
  8. Ben Hannant
  9. Cam Smith
  10. Petero Civoniceva
  11. Nathan Hindmarsh
  12. Anthony Watmough
  13. Paul Gallen
    --------
  14. Kurt Gidley
  15. Brett White
  16. Sam Thaiday
  17. Luke Lewis
I only chose Brett White cause there are no other backup props. So lol @ Justin Poore not making it.

And as good as Waterhouse is, Lewis is better, he's gotto be there

Dave Shillington?

Are they high? He was woeful at Canberra this year and I actually rated him in years past. Wow. That's a shocking selection in more ways than one.

And Brett White? Man. That guy is terrible. There goes any sanctity that the Kangaroos jersey once had.

Cronk beat out Prince, that GF performance must have got him through.

Two reserve centres and no reserve Winger, this team pretty much picks itself.

1.) Slater
2.) Hayne
3.) Inglis
4.) Hodges
5.) Folau (LOL)
6.) Lockyer
7.) Thurston
8.) Hannant
9.) Smith
10.) Petrol
11.) Watmough
12.) Thiaday
13.) Gallen

There is no impact off the bench, I dont think Hindmarsh, Hoffman etc. are impact players. I'd rather have Luke Lewis than Gidley as Lewis acts as a 4th replacement forward, the playmakers and hookers are all 80 minute players so unless there is an injury, Kidley is a waste of space.

I would have had Dave Taylor in my squad to come off the bench.

Doesnt matter anyway, those players are going to pwn all.

Understand all of their selections bar Shillington and Jennings.

Of all the centres in the comp - Jennings??

FMD he has a few good games at the start of the year and all of a sudden he is a default selection for every Rep game. He's ****ing ****! Did sweet **** all towards the back end of the year when the Panthers really needed him to lift!

Oh and what's with civoniceva being selected? OK so he's an awesome player when he's in form, but he hasn't played for at least 10 weeks! You don't just throw someone in Rep footy like that - you have to earn it.

I hope Kenny and Weyman missed out because of injury because if they didn't then that is a joke. Taylor deserved to make it ahead of Shillington. Adam Woolnough deserved it ahead of Shillington.

On the radio this morning, they rattled off the list of props that were unavailable due to injury - Weyman, Kenny, Price, Bailey, Kite ... Shillington and White are the best of the rest. What is really scary though is that Petero and Hannant are both still under pretty big injury clouds. With no other props in the squad, Shillington and White could end up being the starters :o

Dave Taylor should of been in that team, at least for impact. Ben Creagh should of had a shot as well, he was one of NSW's best in origin.

too many good backrowers going around at the moment, and not enough props

Well taking that into account Taylor should have been there ahead of Shillington. Same with Scott, Douglas, Snowden, Houston, even Luke Stuart, honestly 80% of the props available played better than Shillington this year!

That selection makes no sense whatsoever.
