I’ve been seeing those RAM Ute/trucks about lately and they make a lot of noise and take up a lot of space but I’ve read up on them that they ain’t that fast.. 0-100 in high 7s isn’t too fast and would feel slower in such a big body vehicle

I have a i30 hatch as a run about, which is pretty peppy. It’s the non turbo 2.0 version which I’d say does 0-100 in about high 7s also.

so Id be happy to take up the challenge of a RAM at the next set of lights. I might just eat it for breakfast

does anyone think the RAM is a hugely overrated car? Big v8, gas guzzler but not the performance that it promises? Wouldn’t a hilux be the better tool for 99% of duties ? And cheaper and more reliable

to the RAMs out there my i30 awaits you at the lights

If you own a RAM Ute, chances are high you’re a short and insecure man!
Why do short chicken legged ***** always have to drive a vehicle they need a seat cushion to see over the dash?

Stock entry level Dodge RAM 1500 will do 0-100kph in mid 7 seconds.
Stock (spicy) supercharged Dodge RAM 1500 TRX Dual Cab will do it in 4.5 seconds.

Hyundai i30 2.0L (NON N line) will do 0-100kph in about 9 seconds.
Hyundai i30 N Line will do 0-100kph in high 6 to low 7 seconds.
Hyundai i30 N stock will do 0-100kph in low to mid 5 seconds.

Even more embarassing is the 10 year old (2012ish) Toyota Camry Hybrid sedan in the 3rd lane would noticably pull away from you as well.

Summary: You'd lose, and comfortably.

I beg to differ. I have driven them multiple times and they are just fun to drive. Not cause they are fast just in a get out of my way kinda way!! Saving up for one right now!! I am 178cm tall so average height certainly not doing it cause I am short and insecure I just think they are cool

The non turbo i30 2.0 will do the 0-100 in high 7s.. I’ve timed mine many times

where did you get they do it in 9s? The 2008 model maybe m.. mine is brand new .

the n-line is just slightly faster because the Dct is a little slow off the line. The i30 non turbo has a 6spd auto torque converter gearbox.. it rockets away from a standing start

I’m happy to take On a RAM, i30 would also spank a ranger / hilux as well

Facts. I have a RAM and it’s obvious that the non-RAM owners are the jealous and insecure ones. Blue boost is a prime egsample

It’s the ram trx that you’re referring to, not the entry level. 0-100 in under 5 seconds mate It wheelstands, wil crush you’re i30
