Would my Hyundai i30 eat a RAM for breakfast?

The camry drivers annoy me the most, they are going through the motions when they drive and are typically crap drivers.

At least with the RAM the drivers are engaged and loving the experience.

I've had a look at the numbers on the new RAM 1500 V8 HEMI

  • 291kW @ 5,600rpm
  • 556Nm @ 3,950rpm
Tow capacity braked is 4.5 tonne.

The bottom line is this thing is a beast, it's another example of American muscle.

It’s the ram trx that you’re referring to, not the entry level. 0-100 in under 5 seconds mate It wheelstands, wil crush you’re i30
well I’m referring to the base car

mine is a non turbo i30 so it’s fair enough to put it up against the base non supercharged RAM isn’t it? That’s the model Most people buy

Except my non turbo i30 would likely run away from it at a set of lights

How much do they weigh?

What's the power to weight ratio?

I know a few people that own rams and 2 that own a silverado the primary reason they all own them is for towing capacity and cab space. Only an idiot would think you want a longer wheel based heavier vehicle for 4x4

105.9kw/tonne
power to weight can be a bit of a funny number.. it’s only calculated at peak power which is for a few hundred rpm only..for the majority of the time it’s a heavy heavy car. I’d rather a lighter car with same power to weight.

The non turbo i30 2.0 will do the 0-100 in high 7s.. I’ve timed mine many times.
Your timing is off.

where did you get they do it in 9s? The 2008 model maybe m.. mine is brand new .
All newer Hyundai i30s (non N or N Line) use the Nu GDi motor, which is unchanged since 2016.

Actually it's 8.9 to 9.2 seconds 0-100 figure, depending if its auto or manual.

I don't like the modern Rams, however the 1998 3500 Super Heavy Duty :hearteyes::hearteyes: - PEAKING!!!

As for power... skip to 6:45 - I freaking LOVE the sound.

is the Ram same hemi engine that's in a Jeep Cherokee SRT8?
And does the Hyundai have enough hand bag space.

OP has been quiet for a day or two maybe the Hoondi got impounded with old mate trying to replicate that high 7s time he was sure he had achieved previously :tearsofjoy:
I'd love to smoke one in my ute but as I live in a small populated area I don't ever see any..

Facts. I have a RAM and it’s obvious that the non-RAM owners are the jealous and insecure ones. Blue boost is a prime egsample
I like your username.
I remember October 3rd, 2004 like it was yesterday!

The whole 2004 was a great year.
The exact moment I knew the dogs would win the comp is when Mark O'Meley bulldozed Robbie O'Davis!

the diesel utes are sooooo slow… the Hyundai i30 hatch non turbo would absolutely obliterate one
