I like Reni, and hope he gets a run this year, I think he has a lot to offer us.

First offence with no other infractions and been here a while, you don't permaban for that unless its a major infraction (spam/threats of violence/foul language/vulgar porn).

There are 2 users sitting out like 1-2 year bans for posting porn here, to make a comparison.



If you delete the post, mods / admins can see it.
If you edit the post, mods cannot, not sure about admins (but it can be setup on VB).
If you edit and delete the post, only the edited post can be seen if undeleted.

Once someone quotes you, it's game-over.

That said if we notice you've edited/removed your comment and it's been quoted, there is discretion used.

Lots of things weigh in on a ban/infraction, so if you get that or a warning. Most important thing is the users history. If they have a clean history, and a decent reputation (we can read reputation comments as well), you'll get a bit of leeway normally. If you are a user with warnings/constant bans, then the action is normally more heavy-handed.
