I like Abbey but Hoppa does have to come straight back in to FB.

No doubt he will but if Abbey is our future there than he should be there full time by mid season IMO.

It could work, but unfortunately Lichaa has a left shoulder problems effecting his passing game I'm not sure if he will ever get over it, I hope he does !

Ennis is pretty salty on Lichaa though.

Look maybe he is, maybe he'd make a great hooker, but we're talking about shifting him again for something that might work out.

Why not give Lichaa the rest of the season to continue to improve (and despite what the consensus says he has already improved), give Reynolds and Frawley a few more games with Mbye off the bench. Give him minutes at 6 and 9 (maybe even 1) and see who he forces out.

If he plays well at 9, Lichaa doesn't get a contract, if he plays well at 6 - Reynolds doesn't.

Yh no doubt he is. He was throwing heaps of players under the bus while defending his mates on fox haha. But there is still some truth to what he says.

After that, if we cop some losses, put him at hooker.
I'm no Liccha fan, and don't think he should be in out strongest 17, but you'd have to keep the winning team with maybe the exception of a bench forward.
All the better teams are playing a utility number 14 these days

I just want to add how refreshing it is to see posts of guys as part of our development programme being talked about as genuine starters. Montoya is safe as houses, Abbey's confidence is growing and Frawley has shown poise and maturity beyond his years.

We have been unwatchable since 2012. Good to see young kids getting an opportunity. Previously we had to put up with the usual insanity involving Jackson or Kasiano playing 5/8th.

Don't get me wrong, teams are sum of their 17 parts - Ennis and Barba were just as essential but the point of the conversation I was having with pupmichelle was that Maloney at 5/8 was a vital cog in the machine

I don't know I hate that guys voice and head. He's got a face you just want to kill yourself over.
But yeah I wouldn't go as far as vital but I would say having him as the 6 did help them as he is an above average 5/8. But to say he took the roosters and sharks to grand finals. That's just fake news really
