If nothing changes , nothing changes
Giving reynolds has already taken us to two grand finals and lost both
Would u offer him a new contract as a no6 ?
This is exactly right, he's off contract now, he's (probably) reached his ceiling and he's not the best 6 on the market. Why re sign him?

Dont get me wrong, Reynolds is no superstar 5/8. He does not have a passing game at all, everyone can see that.

But with the Salary Cap you need balance, you cannot have superstars in every position.

Brett Finch won a comp thanks to the 1, 7 and 9. Townsend won a comp thanks to maloney, ennis and barba.

I would not re-sign Reynolds on 800k, that is just a media/agent beat up.

Your number 9 and 7 is the most important position in the team and we currently have the worst number 9.

Mbye is on big bucks and he would make a good dummy half, and there are no goid hookers on the market.

Tedesco is out there and we should go all out guns blazing. Cronk wants to move to Sydney and i would try everything possible to bring him over.

We would have a red hot crack at winning the comp with a spine of
Tedesco
Reynolds
Cronk
Mbye

If we couldnt nab a Cronk but landed Tedesco we would still have a formidable 1, 6 & 9 and the 7 would be the missing part of the puzzle like it always has been

If Reynolds remains at 6, we see more of the same since 2012

If nothing changes, nothing changes

Mbye hasnt got the kms in his legs for FB at this time of the year.

FB is a specialised position and you need the whole off season training and running at FB
Hooker is a specialist position as well. If he wasn't got the legs for fullback this year, why do you think he has the endurance and conditioning for hooker?

Long term:

1. Abbey or if we go after Tedesco
6. Mbye
7. Frawley
9. Lichaa

14. Reynolds possibly, Des will force him out at the end of the season.

Maloney has the 6 on his back at the Sharks but he is there HB
Exactly, you can't say 6 isn't as important then.

We all have our reservations about him but Foran would still be an ideal pick up provided he's sorted his shit out

The conditioning for hooker is totally different to FB.

Maloney is the Sharks dominant playmaker and organiser but he's also a better ball runner then Townsend which is traditionally your 6

Yep, the hooker has got to be just about the fittest bloke in the side if he's playing 80
Ennis said Moses is fit enough to handle hooker.

Ennis is pretty salty on Lichaa though.

Look maybe he is, maybe he'd make a great hooker, but we're talking about shifting him again for something that might work out.

Why not give Lichaa the rest of the season to continue to improve (and despite what the consensus says he has already improved), give Reynolds and Frawley a few more games with Mbye off the bench. Give him minutes at 6 and 9 (maybe even 1) and see who he forces out.

If he plays well at 9, Lichaa doesn't get a contract, if he plays well at 6 - Reynolds doesn't.

Frawley had an impact in his first game in deplorable conditions. He had the input that a halfback needs, and his involvement in the team is noticeable. He wasn't afraid to go to the air or kick when required. He wanted the ball on the 5th tackle and that's what we need.

Abbey had a few forgivable hiccups which are ok, but he'll be stronger going forward. I want him over Hoppa.

No complaints about anyone else. The whole team played well last night.
