Could the Dogs go to the NRL and explain that they will not be able to field a 1st grade side until next year. I am sure the NRL doesn't want to see Dogs play each week and get beaten by 50+ so they might be receptive to the idea of the Dogs sitting out the rest of the season in 1st grade.
