So the club physios, doctors, trainers etc did nothing to assist Thompson get back on to the field - seems odd given the level of support compassion shown by the club the previous 12 months.

I think we should remember the amount of support given to Luke by the Dogs. While he has had no luck with injuries, he was allowed (reasonably) to go home to his family due to illness issues, they somehow got his partner out here, all during COViD period. The suspensions, head knocks/concussions……& now the foot injury. Somehow got him back on field in 2023. Unfortunately he has not been great value at all & perhaps is better off back in ESL. Can’t see the Dogs re-signing him again

Finding talent out of ESL takes top level scouting. Not many clubs have been able to do it, only Barge-Arse bros, Graham and Widdop come to mind outside of the Raiders scouting.

Raiders are probably the best of any NRL club at identifying English players but then there is the home sick factor which is also a massive risk: Bateman, Hodgson, Williams, Whitehead.
