We turned up with some intent and energy and that was the difference. Our forwards built momentum and didn't get dominated at the ruck so we weren't constantly on the backfoot.

This win doesn't mean anything unless we turn up next game with the same intent. We have the bye next week so Des has that time to work on some tactical changes (he won't) to take us to the next level. Today was pretty much the absolute limit of Des ball..though keeping the best attacking team to 0 tries while running in 3 isn't such a bad thing.

The halves just aren't where we need them to be, our set plays are too easily read. The outside backs just race up and hoppa is always forcing a pass because the defence is in his face. A short ball or a grubber in behind here and there wouldn't go astray

Yes lets get things in perspective. First win in about a month.

I am actually excited that we finally won.

Next week is next week, but this weekend I will bask in the glow of a win.

Our attack is still pathetic and our tries weren't from skill or any form of well constructed play.

The effort and spirit were great but this jut further illustrated that Desball has to end as it's not 1986 and we can't try and win every game 4-2 and hope the defence gift us points.

Nice to get a win. The boys played with some heart which is a start. That said, we scored a couple of lucky try's. Our halves for the most part still looked average in attack.

This doesn't change anything. Still not a top 8 team.

The one positive is Montoya. This kid is class and if Holland ever starts a game ahead of him I'll lose my shit.
