The NRL are doing a fantastic job in making this competition so even, that only two teams have the quality of players to win it. Can we recruit top quality players? NO, we can't! How can we recruit top quality players when the person who runs the NRL can get any player he wants and no one bats an eye lid? How????? Players want to be at the Roosters, Melbourne, Brisbane, Cronulla, and to a certain extent Newcastle, why? Because they don't have a cap! We are picking up the scraps!!

Let's not shit all over our players and club because they can't compete, last week was a great effort, this week was shit, next week we'll probably be great again.... we have the youngest and least experienced team in the comp, especially now Foran is out!

Unless the NRL stops taking their fans for a ride and starts to act like a professional competition (GOOD LUCK), the competition will always be mediocre!

Solution----- see Roosters, Melbourne, Brisbane, Cronulla, and to a certain extent Newcastle!

Get rid of this nepotistic organisation ruining the comp (GOOD LUCK)...

Rubbish

Since 2012 the Dogs, Souffs, Storm & Rorters were always there abouts.

The above clubs barring the Dogs have gotten better, evolved as well as bought and promoted quality.

Blame whoever you want, we fucked up somewhere there in the middle

Food for thought....
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Level_playing_field

In commerce, a level playing field is a concept about fairness, not that each player has an equal chance to succeed, but that they all play by the same set of rules.[1]

In a game played on a playing field, such as rugby, one team would have an unfair advantage if the field had a slope. Since some real-life playing fields do in fact have slopes, it is customary for teams to swap ends of the playing field at half time.

A metaphorical playing field is said to be level if no external interference affects the ability of the players to compete fairly.

so very true we are now the outcasts and the object of the NRL is to eradicate every Sydney team except the Rorters and possibly the Sharks

Nasheed here,
You’re actually wrong in painting us as a victim who can’t recruit players. There’s no reason we cannot. Just bad management.

The dogs have a lot going for them in terms of attraction.
1. Proud established club.
2. We are geographically close and border the Tigerpies, Souths, Parra, Cronulla and St G. Even a little of Roosters territory if you count Newtown as their hood.
Also in driving distance to Penrith. This means we are central and can easily recruit from these teams as the players don’t need to up and move their families.
A west’s player who lives in Balmain or an Eels player from Wentworth Point is not going to sweat the drive to Belmore to train.
3. We have a Rich club and state of the art (by NRL standard) facilities. A positive Des legacy.
4. We have a large junior base. 1/6 of geographical Sydney and our tentacles go into NZ and some random part of QLD.

We have a lot going for us. Only the Roosters offer more with their beaches and corporate backing in Sydney. We just need to capitalise.

Canberra is the team that struggles with recruitment, but they are kept afloat with good juniors and Ricky has been very smart in raiding Northern England for talent and that’s what we should be doing too. I might be the man to do it. Nasheed.

We will outlive the Sharks purely based on geographic muscle and Manly on finances. We aren’t getting pushed out.Nasheed.

exactly this!

we had a good enough roster from 2012 -2016 and should have won 2 comps if not one, only if there was no Des.

Look at the talent we had or let go during this time:

1- Cook
2- Ennis
3- Graham
4- Klemmer
5- Tapau
6- Finucane
7- Kasiano
8- Morris boys
9- Tank
10- Not going to count woods but yes
11- Barba (should have replaced him with munster when he came knocking the door)
12- Reynolds (a talent wasted by Des as proven this season)
13- Hodkinson (2012-14)

Let's discuss the crop we currently have! Living in the the past and talking about what we had, and who we had and how we used to smash every team, that's all in the past. I'm talking about right now and how people are tearing this team apart, for the sheer reason that they think we can compete consistently, it's not going to happen we're too young and way too inexperienced. Even our coach is doing an apprenticeship...

So you're saying when we play the roosters it's an even playing field? right, sure.... we should win the comp then!

Noone is living in the past. The future is shit and bleek and we are looking back at the past up till now to see what and where it has gone wrong.

You have to find the root of the problem to move forward

That's why the new board was voted. Hopefully they can fix this mess, but it's going to be a while, hence why we need to grow our own, and hopefully we won't lose them to uncle Nick!
