We dumb for not signing Flanno, if someone openly says he’d like to coach us , and someone of his experience and knowledge of the game (and he is very good, hear it when he calls the games) then those are good ticks, missed out. Dragons will now prosper with him taking over. CC .. nah not convinced.
Flanagan has never ever failed in coaching throughout all grades he has ever coached.
What’s more, he gets played loyalty and what is even more than that, he has proven ability and experience in lifting a spoon nrl team to a premiership team just a few years later.
A team less well placed with less resources than even us to turn it round.
I’m so upset typing this I am honestly crying over my Henny.

Holbrook is even dumber for rejecting lol
Yallah if I was offered to coach the doggs or be part of the roosters coaching setup if the money isn’t ridiculously different I’d go roosters every day.
Roosters make careers, roosters look after their staff very well, roosters have perks to set you up in life post football. Politis money, Jewish money, business connections to make you a man.

what do doggs got?
Angry multicultural blue collar fans that abuse players and staff and being told to move on 1/3 through your contracts

One of his many excuses he rolls out to try and deflect from his own mistakes (which continue to mount)
We won Canterbury cup in 2018 after finishing 4th with 13 wins and 9 losses. That was 5 years ago. Covid crushed us as a club as we were already in a badbplace and really needed some junior players to push through and make our fg squad competitive.

2012 - 1st didnt make GF
2013 - 12th
2014 - 11th
2015 - 5th
2016 - 7th
2017 - 4th
2018 - 4th Won GF
2019 - 4th
2020 - Covid
2021 - Covid
2022 - 4th lost GF

These are not outstanding results, and they hardly support your constant negative narrative. Just another unsubstantiated swipe at Gus and the club.
Our Cup side started the season well and has fallen off the edge of late, just as the NRL side has done so.

Gus is not the type to stand by and accept defeat. If CC doesn’t improve us early on next year he will be gone by mid-season.
CC will be here for a long time. He has the Folksy vibe. No nonsense kind of guy, the difference is the cattle. Having no senior leaders out there is massive. The coach can only do so much it's the senior players who set and implement the standards to the playing group . Even when we had senior guys a few yrs back they were the worst performers. Gus has been signing older guys trying to get that leadership with our over paying but the market is weak at the moment.

I honestly don't understand why our defending has gone to shit do our players not know how to tackle and wrap the ball up to stop offloads?
We are a young group by NRL standards. The injury toll threw some players in who weren't ready for week to week grind. Those players have mentally maxed out. Even though the senior guys have returned the rot was set in and the injury toll can't be undone. 12 players missing at one point for weeks. Across 3 grades reshuffling. We done have enough leaders on the field to set standards at training so to be without kiks, Thompson for majority of the yr has caused damage. We will be better for it next yr. A few wounds will harden a few up.

these players have played rugby league for majority of their lives they should know the basics in tackling there's no excuses for this

They all are strong, fit and can tackle but under stress, fatigue and pressure they fail. At training they look good under game conditions they fail. It's mental, it's exhaustion. They give up they haven't learnt to with stand pressure. It's a hard lesson but a lesson needed. If rumours are correct Sutton is 1 example of the pressure.

Doom and gloom on here as always, our defense has been crap this year yes but if we can improve that we will go ok next year, we are four or five games away this year fighting for a top eight spot which i think is achievable for next year if there are no more interruptions.

Like it or not Gus is the only person experienced enough to get us out of this mess, anyone else will set us back even further..Gus may end up doing that but the chances are far far lower.

One thing is for certain and that's CC is way over his head, he knew what he was getting into and came earlier because he wanted the challange, its back fired and reality has set in. He needs to become a hard arse and set standards because most of our players are on easy street and taking us for a ride.

This time last year we had two players, fox and Burton , selected for Mal’s Roos . Four months ago we had 2 picked for the blues, fox and TPJ, if there were a four nations at the end of this year, how many of ours would be selected? I think none.
Which is great. That's reality setting in. Put in the work or stay where we are. They only get one career.
