Dymocks a myth of a coach happy to collect big pay check and let Des take the brunt. If he cared about the club he would have spoken up about a new game plan 3 years ago!!

If cronk retires like expected the best thing the dogs could do is send cronk a blank cheque and make him your attacking coach. Cronk would design your attack around foran and with forans help they would know what would need to be done

your attacking structure will still need to be changed because at the moment your team sirs back because of the way your halves play. The backs like early ball but foran likes to play late. If the team continues to sit back all that will happen is foran will run to the line and get smashed with the ball because he will have no one to pass to.

Let's hope he loses a couple Of kilos and can stretch those hamstrings, never ever looked like catching that winger today

Foran should play half for us and direct play like JT (play both sides). That way the forwards can do what forwards should do and Mbye can concentrate on his running game at 5/8. Just need a hooker with quick service now.

Also equally sure Robbo is on a good wicket having only resigned in recent times. Most of the coaches haven't played for the teams they coach. I couldn't care less whether he is a bulldog. From recruitment to coaching, Des is well behind the elite who have won the comp the last few years.

Lichaa for Ennis - massive fail

Spending massive dollars on a winger to play fullback and now back to the wing.

Re-signing Mbye a centre on massive $ to lead the team around the park.

Signing a player who does not play Sundays

Re-siging Eastwood on a 2 year deal and looking to offload him 10 rounds into his 1st year of renewal.

Playing Eastwood in the backrow while having RFM & Elliott available

Playing RFM at the start of the year and now dropping him out of the 17 for a winger to sit on the bench and Eastwood who Des wants to get rid of

Frawley on the bench, comes on after 20 min with the starting HB moved to hooker, and the starting hooker moved to the bench for the remainder of the game.

Winger on the bench who has no utility value whatsoever

Signing an untested rookie Lichaa on 330k a year.

Signing Lloyd Perrett on 300k a year to sit on his fat ass as 18th man and decides to offload him 2 years into a 4 year contract.

Cook comes on to play hooker and Ennis to HB and he hooks Cook after 30 seconds because Ennis put in a kick on the full and puts Williams into HB

Well you can join the throng here are carry on about Des all day but the fact is we still play September footy every year and get to the October footy every couple of years which is much better than other clubs do. Pretty sure Ennis wouldn't be going too well this season from the couch so how does that help? Perhaps we should get Folkesy back - he won a comp - destroyed a team in the process but still won a comp. All these magnificant coaches everyone talks about have still only won 1 premiership in the past decade so he is hardly in the bottom on the heap. There isn't any genuine bulldog fan on this site that doesn't want the team to win the comp but the opportunities are pretty limited to do so and given the players we have on our books we have done pretty well. Let's be fair dinkum, when Des introduced the forward charge strategy most people thought it was genius. It worked well and we signed or re-signed a number of players to sustain it. Then it lost its effectiveness - mainly due to the loss of unpredictability when Barba went off the reservation, but we still had/have the players signed to longer contracts and so we have been stuck to some degree with it. Hokko's knee improved and that stabilised the side and gave Reynolds a chance to wander more which changed our play again. Mbye, Hoppa, BMoz, Rona and Lichaa were seen as options to give us speed and guile when they came through. Each one of those blokes hasn't worked out the way we wanted but they were recruited and at the time each was seen as a genuine plus. Now we are moving again to, I think, play a more direct style of footy for next year. Foran will be controlling the play, Mbye will most likely be a running 5/8. Frawley may even end up at 9 if Lichaa goes - not sure but things will change - again.
