It's unfortunate for him and the club. I wonder what the long term prognosis is and at what point does medical retirement become an option
Time will tell. Hopefully that’s not an issue and it’s more that they simply need to give him time to recover properly so he can then face the reality of next pre-season to get his healed body back in shape for footy.

Hope so too don’t want to be speculating about a kid medically retiring.

The youngster can focus on his health and getting his body right. The club has the runs on the board on this front. Stuck by RFM and Thompson when they were in the injury woes, sticking by Sutton and Patolo at the moment. He just needs to get fit and healthy, the future can take care of itself.

Yeah I heard Prozenko on SEN the other day. Saying his surgery he essentially had a cage inserted around his neck or something. They said it was a success. He’ll sit out this season. He’s back running and training with the boys. No contact. We’ll get salary cap dispensation for him for this season. Ready to rip in for 2025. He’s still only 19. Let him rest. Long career ahead of him.

Who said we are getting salary cap dispensation for KO? Usually only applies if injury happened in a rep game. Maybe Gus will use his Top30 spot this year like he did with BBO last year & promoted Hoffman.

It will be a situation similar to Ramsey at St George. Medical condition unrelated to footy that has caused them to sit out of the game. Gus will probably promote a young kid and front load some deals.

The physical healing side of things is hopefully just a matter of time.
Rehab. and a personal light training program in the meantime.
Its his confidence that is an unknown factor as far as time goes.

Yes, from personal experience, the mental side is far harder to overcome.
At least he will have different teams around him, supporting his recovery.
I just hope the players are an active part of that, so he still feels he belongs.

Wonder if Xerri could be of any assistance. Nah silly.
You're onto something. Doubt anything like this will be done but I've heard and also have a mate, done some hgh or whatever steroids to help muscles around injured joints, not sure if it helps ligaments, bones, or the area affected/treated for Oloapu and I haven't researched anything about this but maybe it could help recovery.
He's taking the season off anyway so no point doing it and just stick to the recovery program.

Is he in our top 30? I thought he'd be taken off for the season

I don't think we can drop him from the top 30. Perhaps we'd be entitled to some salary cap relief, but he is only on around 250k. We are down to a top 28 now for this year essentially. Hopefully we can offload Topine

Reading it on fox sports he’ll end up with the roosters if he isn’t forced to retire… he’s in love with mini

Broncos really won twofold. Keeping Picachu who is giving them good mins in the nrl now. And avoided having this kid on the books and on the sideline for 12 months minimum.
