Darren Smith for a mention. But can't argue with all before. Loved Talau used to whack em.

Vagana was untouchable in 2002. I'd go as far as saying he's our best ever centre. Stats don't lie and he was superb to watch. That game against Souths!

- Talau
- Tonga 2014
- Connolly
- J Moz 2012
- McCracken
- Timu
- Farrar
- Mortimers

We've had some great centres.

Des stats say that Brenko Lee is both the reason for 1/3 of our points scored and also the reason why we have not scored enough

Bahaha fucking funny if it wasnt true [emoji15]

Peter Winchester was hardly a superstar.
Mick Ryan went ok on his day.
There have been plenty good centres at Canterbury over the years.

The best centre I ever saw play was Andrew Farrar and still remember him running the length of the field against the tigers in a semi to get us through, I think it was an intercept, they were the days.
I recall that game well...scg right?

He was a winger I'm pretty sure.
Chris Anderson was a very good winger. Being the son in law of Bullfrog helped him onto a kangaroo tour and some rep games to be fair.
I remember we all used to joke that he would run 50 meters, cross field, and 1 forward....would always run sideways first movement.
He could score a try though.
Was a footy brain and very very good coach in his day.
The storm got him to bring bulldog into their system from day 1. Great move.

No he didn't, he played his first game at center but not much more after that!

Willie Tonga & Ben Harris were the centers.
He played a few games there, and tonga n Jamal lolesi were our first choice centres, Harris only got a crack when lolesi got injured n was ruled out for remainder of season

Definitley Nigel vagana was our best followed closely by Willie Talua & Darren Smith.

Ben Harris was a gun centre also and couldnt believe we lost him after the 2004 GF .
He was of the Jamie Lyon mould and very integral member of our 2004 squad.

Didn't Harris only come in to replace the injured lolesi? Lol

Your wrong about sbw he only played his first game at centre and that's it, but your right about Harris lolesi was our man that year.

Special mention to Mathew Ryan , he broke first 2 tacklers every carry and was solid in defence

Yes that's the operative word - HAD - we haven't had an great centre with pace to burn for ages. In fact I think we must have close to the worst backs in the comp because Hasler spends all the salary cap on dud forwards. Look at Melbourne...they have 3 elite players and then surround them with other players who are often no name players but Bellamy gets the best out of the. Hasler's recruitment is a joke...but he will do whatever he wants whilst in charge

Calm your farm chief, pretty sure he played centre for a fair chunk of his rookie year, fact is, he still played centre at some point and was straight up a handful
