Scotty Wilson's debut 1st grade game for Souths , actually cost them 2 points , they had their points taken off them as he wasn't registered for first grade, presidents cup players weren't allowed to play first grade at that time ...
I liked Scotty , but the 94 gf killed his career...

01. Scott Wilson: wasn't in the class of rocket rod silva, but was a solid full back
02. Matthew Ryan: great centre, he stood toe to toe with Tallis once, to jump in for hazem, when Gordy tried a cheap shot on hazem, spoke volumes about the corage he had and way he played. Could easily have played second row, sort of like Darren smith,
03. Willie Talau: came into our 1998 team half way through the year from moorebank rams and killed it for us, he had an amazing finals series that year and went on to represent the kiwis.
04. John Timu: had pretty good years in 94 and 95 and was pretty quick
05. Jason Williams: same as above
06. Duncan McRae: dud recruit, up there with other dud signings like darryl tricky trindall and
07. Craig Polla-Mounter: champion player, him and Belmore go hand in hand. Still remember his slide from 10 metres out to score a try against Melbourne storm in torrential rain at Belmore in 1998. I think that was our last game there.
08. Mitch Newton: was a solid front /second rower. Wasn't aggressive, but got the job done.
09. Jason Hethrington: best hooker weve had since Dr George peponis. Had a great sense of humour also. A country bloke through and through
10. Barry Ward: BIG BAD BUSTLING BARNSTORMING BARRY WARD, loved the bloke, and he gave it to mundine in a punch up they had at kogorah in 1998
11. Simon Gillies: was a good leader, but had a bad judiciary record and on report always. Not sure why he got replaced by Darren Edgar Britt as captain in 1998
12. Steve Reardon: "the axe", used to chop em down and tackle all day. He put a big hit on Andrew gee up at brsbane once and had a hectic mullet hairdo at one point. Top payer, wish they played like him nowadays
13. Travis Norton: came outta nowhere in our 1998 squad that had so much depth. Was a great ball playing forward, much like jim dymock, and could easily cover five eighth
14. Solomon Haumono: thick as bricks and only got dumber when he hooked up with mundine. I think he smashed Steve renouf in the super league 1997 tri series
15. Dennis Scott: came from Brisbane broncos, was a handy back up player and added depth in ou forwards
16. Robert Relf: Robert relf, goes himself. Still remember his flick pass offload to A flying rod silva in that 1998 semi versus parra
17. Geordi Peats: no comment
