I don't know about Maitua but you're right about Brown.

I'd pick L. Perrett over Maitua just for size and impact but I know that Des likes a utility back/forward to have the last spot. Des will pick Brown over Thompson which normally I'd complain about but from what I remember of the game on Sat, Thompson had a shocker.

I hope Maitua gets the spot, experience will be very important in the run into the finals but he needs more minutes. Also agree about the backline. I read that Tolman and Klemmer are chances (but good chance) of playing.

I think Des always fudges those dates, or they are worst case scenario timeframes. We always have players coming back 1-2 weeks before the dates specified on the website.

Has Brown been dropped yet all year? I'd say he is safe to hold his wing spot.

Des seems to stick with his core team as much as possible, its been more the fringe guys who get shuffled around to cover missing players(why Brown is a part of the core group I am less sure TBH, a NSW Cup game or two might do the guy some good, but if Morris is back, that side will be pretty safe defensively whoever is there)
