Daley made a comment recently he wanted a utility on the bench, which is why I think J Bird was tried at half back yesterday at Tamworth. Cartwright to me is a very gifted attacking footballer but tends to keep away from the tough work sort of stuff. Defends two in from the wing and doesn't do much in the way of hit ups. If he gets picked I am sure Qld will target him. Sezer was the best performed 6 or 7 yesterday by a country mile. Agree Maloney is a problem is defence. Biggest problem with selecting a NSW team is the number of available players in comparison to what Qld have. Therefore it is just as easy to pick the wrong team as it is to pick the right one. Qld don't have that issue.

Yeh but he played 13 after he missed the first game, Daley kept woods at 8. He also played 10 in the Australian test.

Mainly it's the lack of halfback options available. A.Reynolds is personally my preferred half, but the bloke is made of paper mâché, QLD will run forwards at him all night and either injure him or wear him out so it becomes essential to have cover on the bench. So who do you pick? Pearce? Hodkinson? Moses? Brooks? Soward? Robson? Townsend? Maloney?

He finds grass in general play kicking regularly, decent goal kicker and a solid playmaker that can take the line on and score by himself.

Not sure if you've talked to people that have said Sezer, but as far as I know only you, me and Andrew Johns have picked him in theoretical squads.

Yh i picked him early on as i legit have no idea on the halves aye. Daley will probs run with Hodko at 7 and fuck knows who at 6 lol

On paper all these NSW sides look unbeatable.... then they hit the field and look like shit.
Either trying to beat a Qld team that wants it more, trying to beat the refs and the bookies or just all stand around looking at each other trying to figure out how the fuck Mitchell Pearce gets a spot every game.
