Yes. When he left to the NFL he was arguably the best player in the NRL and he would add everything we need to the team(even though we would probably offload Perret,Morris or maybe even Sunday). But realistically there is no way we can pay him what he would want, he will probably take a while off and then go to North Queensland and take Thurstons wage when he retires when he retires
Sunday...lol

I don't get how hayne is seen as the ultimate fullback..How many tries would he have let in ?

Parra were spooners for almost as long as he was there.. I don't get it.

In a one word response Hell no
I completely agree.
The only reason Parrascum have won some games lately is due to having more money (apparently endless amounts, stuff the cap) from freeing up money hogs like Hayne who as you rightly point out did stuff all while he was there.
Hayne usually only played well against lower ranked teams (hard to be lower than the Eels) or us where he was good mostly.
I wouldn't have him at our club right now either.

I'd still take him if the price was right, he still has something to offer. But I know he wont come cheap so it's very unlikely that he'll come to belmore

I wouldn't even want our players socialising with Hayne out side of football let alone have that parasite playing in Blue & White.

I don't get the blind love as well, and you're right. Hayne is nowhere near as good as people make him out he hd 1 fkn year he was good and that is it. He failed at nfl and looks to be failing at rugby 7. I think he overestimates his potential and talent big time.
Cannot believe the cop out he used though leaving nfl lol what a flop.

He just stopped evolving because of the team he was playing for

Let the rorters waste their cap on him at the expense of a few good players

Hayne has changed 3 codes in 2 years. He built his body up to play nfl (a sport that requires almost no aerobatic fitness). He is built like a battering ram at the moment. Probably lost some of his pace, lost a lot of fitness. He is built to make 10-15 carries of the ball over 3hrs.

Your average NRL player will carry the ball 15+ times, while making 20+ tackles, and running back and forth with the defence (10-15m sprints all game).

The skillset and physic needed is completely different (you can probably get a cricket player or swimmer that will offer as much as Hayne at the moment)

He will need to transform his body again. To build up his fitness, his strength and the he will need to relearn skills needed for NRL.

It took sonny 6-8 weeks to adjust to league again. And he was in Union which has similar skill sets. Hayne will take Atleast half a season I would think.

You can't walk away from an elite sport and come back and perform straight away (even Jordan needed time to find his game again).

He was a great player before he left. Was the best fullback in the game and top 2-3 players. Not sure how long it will take him to get back there but I doubt he will get the dally m in 2017.

From the brief highlights I saw of him at the 7s it's not the Hayne we all knew (light on his feet, fast acceleration, playmaker) even just running up and down the field. It looked like he was stomping more then running.

Yep. He gained a lot of weight for NFL and sacrificed a lot of fitness. It'll take him a while to get back to what he was.

He got dominted and was well off the pace in the 7's hit outs thus far ... all the analysts were disapointed about how far he was behind the mark he needs to be at to compete at that level.
