Use some of his money to entice Burton.

Time for Foz to move on. Can't possibly re-sign a player who only plays 50% of season games.
Clearly is keen on Burton staying a panther heard his interview on radio last night

You can do both but I think money could be better spent elsewhere. Both Foran and Green would probably want over 400k. I'd rather someone like Benji for significantly less if they wanted an experienced half. At least he'd bring some spark to the attack.

I think Cust is a big upgrade on guys like Cogger and Lewis and would be a good complement to someone like Wakeham. But I agree, Lewis taking up cap space and a squad spot complicates things.
Because of greens age, i dont think he will be too picky with cash.

Hes one **** the dogs SHOULD lowball offer for 2 years and see if hes keen or not.

Raiders have a sick halves combo
Knights i doubt
eels sick combo
panther are overflowing
manly.....potentially
saints.....potentially
souths origin halves
roosters i strongly doubt with their ageing team
tigers would just resign benji if they are going down that road
cowboys lol
titans perhaps
broncos perhaps but unlikely

I would honestly sign Jimmy Maloney over this guy if experience is what we're looking for.
One thang to consider.
Maloney actually WANTS to live in Europe. He has been saying it for years.

SL paycuts the x factor to my story but.

I don't trust Foran but it's not like we're signing anyone else...

Re-sign him if we can get a hooker with a decent kicking game. Can’t succeed having just one player in the team who can kick

600 a year? Piss off!
Absolute max, ideally 500.

id like to say 450 but we cant keep playing jewball with our negotiations or we are going to get a seriously bad reputation amongst footballers.

Give Foz another year with option for a second on 4-500,000.
With barely no experience in our side it would be silly to move him on right now.
Looking around the dressing room, It would give me confidence that he’s there to run out with If I’m a young fella coming through.
Hopefully he can stay fit and re gain his confidence though.

Re-sign Foran on no more than 550k a year with options every year in Canterbury's favour that way if he does breakdown, we can offload him that year...

Also give him Cotric or a Sivo or a Scott etc and watch how much better we would be in attack. Atm our outside backs are as useless as tits on a bull. And he is still building a combo with RFM.

The Bulldogs have begun preliminary discussions with Kieran Foran about staying beyond this season with the injury-plagued half "desperate to achieve something special at the club".

The former New Zealand international wants to continue in the NRL next year and has tentatively begun talking to Canterbury about extending his Belmore contract, albeit on significantly reduced terms.

Foran is one of the highest paid players in the game and is in the final year of a contract worth upwards of $1 million a year.

While there's no guarantee the Bulldogs and Foran will find common ground, club officials have been maintaining regular dialogue with the 29-year-old and will discuss whether to table a formal offer in coming weeks.

Coach Dean Pay, whose own future is under enormous scrutiny in the final year of his deal, has been desperately searching for some spark in his playmakers with Foran restricted to just 31 games since the start of 2018.

He badly dislocated a finger in last week's loss to the Rabbitohs, but will be fit for the Bulldogs' clash against the struggling Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.

Canterbury can lift themselves off the bottom of the ladder with only their second win of the campaign on Saturday night.

Foran said he was hopeful "something will come up" as he sweats on the Bulldogs lodging a formal contract proposal.

"For me I've had a couple of injury-ravaged years at Canterbury and it hasn't been a good feeling," Foran said. "When you ride the tough times with the club you'd love to turn it around. I'd love to stay on and have a couple of injury-free seasons and try to achieve something special at this joint. That's what I'd love to do, but that's out of my hands.

"It's up to the club and what direction they want to go. I'm respectful of that and not putting any pressure on at the moment."

"When you ride the tough times with the club you'd love to turn it around."

Canterbury will be without lock Adam Elliott, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season requiring a shoulder reconstruction.

Foran said he felt for Anthony Seibold's Broncos after a number of players were shown on camera crying straight after their loss to the Warriors, the sixth straight since the competition restart.

"You could see the emotional toll it was taking on those guys and I really felt for them, as I feel for our footy club," Foran said.

"They're trying really hard to turn it around, like us. They're trying to play the best footy they can and they're not too far off. You've got to be at your absolute best to get a win in this competition and that's where we're failing as well.

"We want to turn it around and we're desperate to. We're trying as hard as we can, but we're not just able to get it done and come up with the right play at the right time. That's something we've got to challenge ourselves to get better at because we're running out of time."

Brisbane centre Kotoni Staggs (hamstring) will play after coming through training unscathed on Thursday.

"He is a good addition to our team and very good against Manly and in those early rounds," Seibold said. "He has had suspension and injury since then and is a big in for us. I am looking forward to getting him back out on the park."
The guy owes our club big time, put up or shut up, and still it's a big NO, too injury prone.

I’ve heard some rumors around the club, they are using Lewis as a bargaining chip to lure one of their many unsigned backs, about all I could get from him unfortunately, remembering that Lewis is a Queenslander

That's not really an issue because it's up to Burton. We wanted to keep Klemmer but he didn't want to stay and we all know how that ended
If we offer Burton a good deal and a starting spot, we'll get him. Cleary may not release him early so we'll have to wait until 2022 but we still should get him. In that case, it would make sense to resign Foran on $300K. Anything more is just robbery.
