Welcome to the Mighty Wests Tigers Moses Mbye. Class player and can't wait to see what he can bring to the club. We really needed a speedy fullback and Mbye is definitely that. So hyped.

Sorry to spoil the party, but a headsup in advance.

Moses Mbye loves to talk..and talk... and talk. He'd tell the world he does 24 ct gold shits and have you believe it too... and he'd believe it as well.

And that's the problem with Mbye. All you get it talk. What he's GOING to do, how he's GOING to do it, and how the rest of the club/team SHOULD be playing.

But that's where it ends and the frustration begins.

For all the talking over the past 4 years Mbye has been at the club, not once has he actually lived up to (or shown even a remote indication) of the hype he believes and talks himself up with. I can count probably 2 or 3 games where I've thought "holy shit Moses is tearing shit up".

That's why some here referred to him as Mythbye.

Compare that to Ben Barba in 2012. Same thing in that Ben was tearing up in junior grades. Difference was that Barba got on the field and let his ability do the talking. 2012 he single handedly tore teams apart on more than half a dozen occassions. Mbye has NEVER done that... not once (in NRL).

...

So enjoy Mbye, but don't expect miracles... you've (Tigers) given him a stable home for the next few years. Drop him to NSW Cup when he underperforms / underwhelms and suddenly he'll be homesick and want to head home to Noosa. Just don't expect miracles from Mbye, because as any Dogs faithful will tell you... they don't exist in him skillset.

Shut the fuck up Moses... nobody cares.

Tigers fans will very soon learn what we did... Mbye can talk the talk, but can't walk the walk.

Would laugh my arse off if they start him in NSW Cup.
Someone asked him the question. Somebody clearly does care. I’m sure tigers fans are interested too.

Mbye has shown plenty of potential this year and they didn’t fork out to pick up most of his contract so they could name him in nsw cup.

He’s gone now and got the most part people seemed to want him gone. The Mbye bashing is getting really boring.

I hope he does well and makes something of his season. Not like we’d have made anything of ours- with or without him.

He’ll do well. A shame gasket dug is into such a hole we had to let him go. Don’t listen to the perpetually outraged anti Mbye brigade. They are too busy over emphasising his flaws to look at the significant upside he brings to a club.

Oh please cry me a river. The only upside to Mbye over his entire Bulldogs journey was his own self loving opinion and maybe the odd good but not great game every now and then. Stop giving Tacky false hope!!!

Mbye should be saying strong clubs
Not club.
West tigers or Balmain magpies
I think Balmain magpies sounds better.
Actually The Balmain TigPieDogs suits them better. A club with an identity crisis :grinning: Was it a tiger molesting a magpie, was it a Magpie ejaculating at the sight of a dog or was it a dog screwing a Tiger doggy style???? Who the hell knows !!! Sydney's newest consolidated club. :grinning:

Yeah I heard all his highlights packages on YouTube are interviews :p

I’m not crying. Just wishing Tacky luck in terms of his club’s investment and pointing out some of you pay the criticism on a bit thick. I do think he has upside and can do good things in the right environment. Time will tell :p

Only if there is a microphone in front of him. Leave him out of media relations and how will Mbye tell the fans everything he intends to do but never will!

No Sharon Woods directly attacked the club he left by saying he was sick of the poor board and not playing finals footy. There’s a big difference.

Mbye is complimentary of the club he is at. I don’t see his comments as a direct attack on the Bulldogs.

One thing I will say is if he does play to his potential at the Tigers then good pick up. But I am sick and tired of Tigers fans like you and many others I know taking shit about how Fkn good he is. He has shown glimpses of good footy since being with us but has overall failed in every position. You can’t justify 950k as a player only showing glimpses of brilliance hence why he got the boot.

It can take a while to do well at fullback though so you never know he might fire at the Tigers. But from what we’ve seen at the Dogs he didn’t even try at 1. Basic things like chasing plays and trying to always be there for line breaks never happened and that’s basics of being a fullback.

Good luck but please get your hand off it for now because he’s show fk all. Happy to say yeah he’s good when he actually is.

Grinning and bouncing his knees waiting for the camera to start, it's clear to see that Moses Mbye is both excited and nervous about his first day at Wests Tigers.

It's understandable.

Aside from Josh Reynolds and Corey Thompson — both of whom he played with at the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs — there's no other former teammate in the squad at Wests Tigers.

There's a mutual friend with co-captain Chris Lawrence... and that's it in terms of familiarity.

Off the back of switching positions and learning a new style of play under Bulldogs Coach Dean Pay, the 24-year-old Mbye is preparing to do the exact same thing all over again under Ivan Cleary

By his own admission, Mbye didn't expect himself to be at Wests Tigers this year.

He didn't expect to necessarily be at Wests Tigers at all.

And yet here he is — nervous, but smiling. Confident about what lies ahead.

Having secured a mid-season switch from the Bulldogs to arrive at Concord in the lead up to the standalone representative round, Mbye is well aware of the challenge that lies ahead of him.

And just like the challenge of moving to fullback and a new coaching style, it's a challenge that he's ready to meet head-on, one day in to his new surroundings with a new jersey on his chest.

"Of course it's exciting," Mbye reflected in his first interview as a Wests Tiger.

"I can't lie — I was a little bit nervous to rock up this morning but that's probably a good thing. It's been good to get the first day out of the way and just get this week rolling.

"It was strange and mixed emotions walking in because it was just all so new.

"Weird is probably the right word to sum it up.

"It's been a turbulent month to be honest but it's also been exciting," he continued.

"It's been a really good experience for me and I've enjoyed it all but now it's just about getting in amongst my new teammates and learning all of the new things here.

"I can't wait to get on the field and get the footy in my hands and start contributing."

Signed through at Wests Tigers until at least the end of the 2022 season, the 24-year-old isn't shy about the lofty expectations that many might have following his arrival this week.

For Mbye, simply all part of the challenge.

"The word challenge is exactly what it is," Mbye said of his arrival to Wests Tigers.

"It's going to be tough but that's when you perform your best at this level.

"I've always found that being under adversity makes you be your best and makes you strive to be better than you were the day before, so I'm looking forward to it.

"There's so much here that I can look forward to: playing with Grub [Reynolds] again and being around someone like Benji... I remember all those times I did the Benji step as a kid and idolised him growing up.

"I think having specialist fullbacks in Brett Hodgson and Ivan on the coaching staff too is really going to help me and really help me grow as a fullback. This is a great environment for me to grow here.

"But the biggest thing is that I'm at a strong club and a club on the rise..."

Moses Mbye
"But the biggest thing is that I'm at a strong club and a club on the rise.

"From the outside looking in, it's a club on the rise and putting the weekend's result aside, there's been some really good footy played. Now, it's just about producing consistent games as a team and me trying to help in whatever way I can do that.

"Everyone knows where we're at ladder-wise — just on the edge of the see-saw. It could go either way so we're at a time when we need to get some wins.

"I can't wait to help try and make that happen."

You can go and get fucked you shit ****.
