Les Johns - genius ahead of his time
Johnny Greaves (centre, v tough)
Johnny Rhodes (fast winger)
Kevin Ryan (prop forward) scary tough captain - became a Barrister.

These idols kept me going to Belmore week in and out and made me want to play.

Then:
Turvey
Baa
Kelly
Tunks
Cement was my hero
Folksy amazing defensive technique

Weapon of a player
Loved him. Loved Graeme Hughes commentary on his games when he'd make a break and scream "MCGRADY!!!!"

Absolutely loved him and he's the reason I love the dogs

Steve Mortimer
Folksey too. He wasn't my idol, but the ultimate utility . . . pound for pound,he was as tough as anyone, had the skills of a half and a tackling technique as good as you're likely to see. Could play any position in that era

My favorite ever Bulldogs Player is also a man who I would describe as -

The Best Ever Club Footballer Of All Time - IMO he had a bearing on the outcome of club games more than any other player in my time.

TERRY "BAA" LAMB

If he were in his prime, you could drop him in our team right now & we become premiership contenders.

In 1983, Lamb won the Dally M playing for the Western Suburbs Magpies - Who won the wooden spoon that same year - GO FIGURE.

Josh Reynolds cause I was dropped on my head as a baby
I’m not lying btw. I was a stupid fuck as a kid and throughout my teens. A close second would be Barba and SBW

Seems like that trend has continued on

Adam Perry and Luke Patten for mine, followed closely by Grimaldi. Loved the batter mentality

I’ve had so many favourites over the years …

The obvious ones are ..

Steve Mortimer
Terry Lamb - that 95 Premiership beating Manly was the ultimate ..

And I loved watching Nigel Vagana play .. the opposition were always so scared he’d carve them up .. and the majority of the times he did.
Copy bruz will all of the above
2004 team still best team on paper ive ever seen for dogs

But doesn't have Shreks shit attitude!

Steve Mortimer is one of the greatest for me.
He is a living legend and has no ego!
I would love to have shrek today . Mortimer was at the end of his career when I really got into footy. Baa was king than super league screwed it for me.
