I’d say Burton would be a pretty good option, so would the enthusiasm of the fox, but it’s another who knows. Whoever steps up let’s hope he’s got what it takes..!!

A lot of people on here have ridiculous expectations of Burton. He’s played one season of first grade and only half a dozen games in the halves, he hasn’t been part of any leadership group at Penrith.

Mahoney will be an Origin hooker when he arrives and he is the obvious choice for Captain moving forward.

Mahoney has signed for 4 years, Jacko can hand over the baton to our new hooker.
Burto would be the other option, either or.

No-one stands out to me right now. It would be good to see one of the forwards apart from Jacko show a bit of leadership, on-field and off. Mahoney looks pretty confident and level headed, and signed long term, so he's a chance.

It's unusual for a winger to captain but JAC stands out as VC right now IMO.

South's have the best captain in Cam Murray imo, be good to see him grow into the role.

My boy BBO could fill this role at some poimt further down the line im sure. But like others, he is a while off. Needs to cement a starting spot first.

Jackson has been a good clubman over the years but i just can't see him holding down spot in the starting side especially with Kikau coming over next year to partner TPJ in the 2nd row.
