Thurston has fallen off a cliff this season and is no longer in the top 5 halfbacks.

Who though is currently the best?

I added James Maloney as he basically plays like a halfback also.

This is just for NRL level not rep footy.

Impossible to say as all have been hit and miss this season and largely rely on how well the rest of their respective sides play.

It's more about the best balanced halves pairing.

Cronk and Keary for me are that.

I still think if jt was playing for qld they would have won the series,i dont blame jt for the cowboys their team is playing shithouse ,forwards not going forward shitloads of dropped ball,no standout number 7s this year but most improved luke brooks

Not even close to being right. He has been terrible nearly every single game and can't set up tries like before. He's also been shithouse defensively.

Value for money? Hunt is the 2nd highest paid halfback in the comp.

Pearce has been money well spent.

A "terrible" JT that can't set up tries like before is still 3rd for total try involvements, 2nd for try assists and line break assists and 3rd for forced dropouts lol.

Shows you how misleading stats are. I've watched every single Cowboys game and he has been shit in nearly every single one. There is a reason they are where they are.

None of them have been consistently dominant this year..

I think Ash Taylor has been a big let down in the past month.. he did little to nothing against the Broncs, then against a half Roosters team, and again against Knights when they were up 14 with 25 to go.. I was expecting better from him

If they didnt sign Pearce they lose the past 2 games and alot of the ones at beginning of year

Prob because his overall career standards is so high that when he has a ok game it’s seems like shit especially when as a team they lose

No real standouts this year. Ash Taylor hasn’t really progressed like everyone thought and Cleary is kindve just doing his job whilst Maloney takes the reins usually. Pearce has been really good and the knights record with/without him proves it. I’d say him or Maloney (aside from his shocker against the broncos)

Cleary will be one day. At the moment, it's likely Cronk.

Nope, he's been shit compared to many other halfbacks. If he was 21 he would've been dropped.
