Oh yeah. thought it was to good to be true.....Mut will always be mut....No you've read it wrong! Lol
He's implying Averillo dummys Dufty to score the try himself like he did last year against the Dragons.
He isn't and he can't. If reports are true that he's lagging behind in drills then it just isn't ever going to happen, clearly doesn't have the fitness and explains why he was so poor off the ball at the dragons and why they wanted to limit his role.I really want Dufty to hit his peak form again. He's still got an average of just over 1 try every 2 games (44 tries from 82 games), which with that many first grade games is a pretty decent strike rate.
If he's allowed to take on a roaming role like Barba did, either side of the ruck (running off centres/second rowers/halves) or adding himself as an overlap, he could be incredibly dangerous with his speed off the mark.
Combo wise Burton / TPJ (or Hetho) / Naden / JAC - will put on points if they can gel early.
My preferred edges would be as such…So much potential there for tries galore. Just hope Trent doesn't fuck it up.
I hope Hetherington plays on the left. Running off Burton, he could cause havoc too. He will be a much better edge forward imo. At least until/if RFM comes back. Or one can play right side. We don't want to ignore the right, or else we'll be too predictable. Averillo, Jacko, Naden, Okky? Could be fairly strong. Left is easy, although whether to put Schoupp or Naden with JAC is a concern. I'd pick Schoupp because he was improving every week and finished the season strong. Plus we want a strong right side also, and Naden is possibly our best back after JAC. Burns and Allen don't inspire much confidence. When Alomoti is ready, it will be a different story.
Imagine this...
1. Dufty
2. JAC
3. Schoupp
4. Alomoti
5. Naden
There's plenty of entertainment there folks.
Clearly he must be doing something right as last season was his second best with a career strike rate of 66% chance of scoring a game. Best was 72.22% in 2020.He isn't and he can't. Yet no one in the NRL other than then wooden spooners offered him a contract. French has a better strike rate yet you won't see him in the NRL.Clearly he must be doing something right as last season was his second best with a career strike rate of 66% chance of scoring a game. 2017 3 tries from 7 games 42.86% strike rate
2018 13 tries from 26 games 50% strike rate
2019 5 tries from 16 games 31.25% strike rate
2020 13 tries from 18 games 72.22% strike rate
2021 10 tries from 15 games 66.66% strike rate
Starting to think you have a personal vendetta against Dufty?

Maybe it’s got something to do with other clubs already having a fullbackYet no one in the NRL other than then wooden spooners offered him a contract. French has a better strike rate yet you won't see him in the NRL.
Yh, a fullback that's better than him.Maybe it’s got something to do with other clubs already having a fullback
