Ofahiki, has been disappointing in the first 2 games ,Napa should not even be playing first grade, with Thompson out, really difficult,I reckon we are still 2 quality forwards short, from being a top 8 side.

we are 3 or 4 quality forwards from a 12-9 ranked side - at least a 9 & 2 props.... along with possibly a strike backrower or ball playing 13

Nasheed here,
Why not get some of the Local grandparents who arrived from Lebanon in the 70s, the struggles they faced, the lack of resources they had in coming to Australia.
The heartache of leaving their homeland, torn apart from war, and the struggle to first face bigotry, and later economic suppression from the locals.
Despite this, they put food on the table for the kids and built constructions, fruit shops, fashion stores, food outlets and labourers to rise up and gain respect, even to the point where our club itself is Lebanese managed now.

If that doesn’t inspire the boys to fire up, what

Take them to a children's hospital packed with kids with cancer & see how many fighters are in there. One of them have more heart & fight than our whole forward list put together.

Is it really just our forwards? We are playing way too conservative. Why can’t we just go for it? Where are the Risky offloads, short balls, chip kicks, some ball spreading. We are playing such a boring style. No balls. What are we scared of. May as well try something different

Look at our spine. Flanagan and Allan have been brought in on potential but they're not good enough right now. Allan's really struggled injecting himself in the first 2 rounds. Averillo doesn't look like he's ready for the NRL. We have the worst hooker (whichever one you prefer) in the NRL. In the backs. Hopoate looks finished. Cotric only good player there when comparing to other teams, maybe DWZ but he's rocks and diamonds (been decent this year imo). We have a lot of problems and even with JAC and Burton coming over we still need to do a lot more in recruitment.

I was hoping that Barrett and Furner could influence these forwards to challenge themselves and lift to another level this year, but so far we have not seen anything different to previous seasons.

Unfortunately we wont dominate up front for a long time with the current pack, Our nines cant pass, have no vision and don't communicate, they wont even dominate in the Canterbury Cup . Our middles run one out, are unfit and are timid hitting the line, Our edges don't run lines or provide any push or second phase, we just look like we are in slow motion all the time in attack, defensively they are ok.

We need to add a quality 9 , Middle and Edge with some experience, unfortunately there are not many on the market.

Anyway we live in hope that something changes, I would go with the below when Thomo comes back

8 Thompson
9 JMK
10 Ava - gives us some experience and dents the line
11 Elliott
12 Jackson
13 Smith - runs harder than what we have.

14 Averillo - needs more time off the bench and could offer some options
15 Doorey - showed some good things when he played last year.
16 Atoni
17 Hetherington - will gives us better impact off the bench

Waddell / Napa / Stimson / Ogden / Katoa are just not cut out for first grade. We can add Hoppa & DWZ to this list
