Its amazing how they see more value in KF being solid, than they see Ben Hunt in actually trying to win games for them (even at his high price).

Someone should alert them that this comp isnt about getting value for your dollar, but about making finals and giving yourself a shot at the title.....

Even if that means 3 players chew up 30% of your cap.
Ben Hunt has been trying to get out of that lace since before the Flannos even arrived. Not sure how the two sets of circumstances are in any way related.

Shit club got shitter
They actually improved and it was Flano Snr’s first year at the helm. Admittedly, they will miss Hinf, and to a lesser extent Lomax…. But our club is applauded for saying no to players who don’t want to be here. Nice double standards, Kennel.

Flanagan got them within striking distance of the finals in his first year.

They signed 4 new players for next year and signed 1 more for 2026.

Cook and Gutherson played Origin in 2023.

Holmes played Origin this year and only injury kept him out of Australia.

Kennel applauds our signings of Josiah Pahulu 5th choice prop after Tino, RCG, Fotuaika, Jolliffe at Titans and Enari Tuala reserve grade winger at Knights and bag out Gutherson, Cook and Holmes.

Who cares about the Dragons. Kennel seems to care.

I blame the politicians on both side of politics who have neglected the mental illness issue for decades. This is so sad on so many levels.

Yes your coach is a dumb, peptide cheating, salary cap rorting dickhead who's engaging in nepotism
Ok I've mostly poked crap at him in this thread over his biting incident. But as far as it goes I had a little bit of respect for him until that. He's basically the culmination of someone that's worked very hard on the back of having the coaching advantages that come from having Daddy running an NRL side. Solid skills. No instinct.

I think most of those posters are the positivity crew over there. I wasn't his biggest fan, but I know that at best he'll try very hard and play to a plan. I've basically described him as solid when he was here too. If you have a star half to partner him and do the creative stuff, coupled with a strong forward pack and sensational backline, he won't detract from the team too much. He'll make kicks that are about where they should go. But they will be basically set plays, practiced a thousand times and very much predictable. I've seen him throw a few good cutout passes to put wingers over and he's scored a couple himself when someone else has put a kick in goal. Otherwise he's basically the definition of teachable halves skills with barely any instinct.

If Papa Peptide can come up with a lot of set plays, he might do ok. But I tend to think that as the year progresses he'll be increasingly easy to shut down if his halves partner doesn't step up and make defensive lines panic. I don't recall know who they bought to replace Hunt. But I see the Dargons struggling next year.

The last comment from since 77 is the most telling though. There seems to be plenty who have already hit the point where they're criticising peptide junior. And that's when he was playing as the secondary half. Bigger shoes for him to step into next year. He's going to be the senior half.

Maybe because the dragons are signing pensioners who can barely walk?
