Not sure if it has been posted elsewhere, but I think it deserves its own thread. We are officially 5th after this round and heading into the next. We are ready to pounce on a top 4 position. It is hard to believe when at the start of the season I was thinking we might be around 8th position by the end of the year, if we have some luck with injuries, and yes we still have a long way to go but we are kicking some serious goals here folks.

Doubtful we see the Top 4 without some serious upsets. Roosters, Sharks and Penrith all have pretty easy runs to the finals. Maybe Sharks continue their losing streak but it would have to be a massive collapse if they can't retain Top 4 with their remaining draw. Melbourne's remaining draw isn't super easy but they're 8 points ahead of us and they're Melbourne. :P

no chance we're getting top 4, we'll most likely finish 5th-7th
Only possible chance is if we win everything and Cronulla fall in a big hole. They have a great draw so not gonna happen. Getting way ahead here, but 5th or 6th for a home game in wk1 of finals would be great, especially if we were playing a QLD team.

I reckon the Sharks are the most likely to drop a couple of games to make way for us. Hopefully we can finish 4th and play the Storm who look like they've wrapped up the minor premiership. Much better than playing the Panthers

Fair enough :grinning:
Roosters, Warriors and Cowboys only had 1 bye as well so thats a bit of an ace up their sleeve :grinning:

That's right
just means we would have to win when they have there byes to stay on the pace

That is a lock jam and a half.

We could very easily slip to 12th or 13th if we are not careful... we must win as many against the follow top 8 contenders.

Jagging 5 more wins and atleast one BIG win for F/A is paramount.

We have a good run to finish the year. Don’t play any of the current top 4 sides and have more games at home than away. We could get top 4.
So who drops out of the current top 4 ?
The chooks are 2 points ahead and on the rise
Storm too far ahead
Penrith probably won’t drop enough for us to catch
Leaves the sharks who are coming into an easy soft draw for next month and are 2 wins clear

We won’t make top 4
Sharks will get 4th as I see the getting another 10 points finishing on 34 points
I think we finish max 32 finishing 5th or 6th

I also believe that we are the ONLY team undefeated at home this year

Our home home against the dolphins is in Queensland
We have 3 games in Queensland and 1 in new Zealand
We have a very tough run home
Make no mistake about it

I agree, that is a tough draw, also considering most of our wins have come playing at home. I'm hoping for 4th, but realistically we are looking at 5th or 6th. Which is still a great result considering who our halfback is, and what our prop rotation is.

Well I'm with you in saying IF we get top 4, we are taking the sharts spot.

But I personally think we finish 5th.
