So averillo isnt partly to blame for that?Thats because we only scored about 10 tries all year mate.

People were backing him up. But dummying at the line only works if you throw a good pass at times too.How exactly does a player have line break assists and try assists when no one is backing him up?
Always a Bulldog
Of course he's partly to blame but there's also an entire squad full of players and staff carrying the blame along with him. He was thrown into a role he had no experience in and wasn't ready for, he had to learn how to play this role in arguably one of the worst NRL rosters put together with absolutely no support around him. People underestimate how hard the halfback position is in our team, our system is similar to what the Panthers run and just look at the drop off in quality with Luai in the halfback position both individually and as a team.So averillo isnt partly to blame for that?
Based on what you've said Flanagan would also benefit from the quality players around him . I don't see Averillo being any better than Flanagan,In terms of being a halfbackOf course he's partly to blame but there's also an entire squad full of players and staff carrying the blame along with him. Jake has had a taste of what's required in the role and he now has a more dominant front row, a promising half to work alongside and some genuine strike on the edges. It's now on him to show some improvement over the opening weeks and it's only fair to judge him now that he actually has some tools around him.
Who cares about Flanagan, already played with better players and he ended up getting chased out of the club. Never seen so much drama surrounding such a average player getting dropped, happened at the Roosters and happened again with us. Plays reserve grade and he's the worst player on the park, the reserves were dead set worse off for having him.Based on what you've said Flanagan would also benefit from the quality players around him . I've read he's been training at centre mostlyWell proofs in the pudding he'll start there round 1 so let's see if he ends the season there. I think he will.
Haha and what did Averillo do that was so special, not muchWho cares about Flanagan, already played with better players and he ended up getting chased out of the club. Im hoping BBO gets first crack at 7Be fucked if Flanno should get another start though..at the very least has to be a fair way down the queue.
Obviously. But have a look at our team and our big 3 wins.So averillo isnt partly to blame for that?
Done more than anyone else in that role, has the athleticism required for the role, obviously showed results at training, etc.Haha and what did Averillo do that was so special, not much
Results at training? Lol, He only had to not be worse than Flanagan . BBO has him covered for athleticism and ball playDone more than anyone else in that role, has the athleticism required for the role, obviously showed results at training, etc.
If you say so LOLResults at training? Lol, He only had to not be worse than Flanagan . BBO has him covered for athleticism and ball play
Probably, but he already spent a year in the halves learning the system and role Baz wants from the halfback. You don't do that and then not give him an opportunity with a better side around him, it also doesn't make sense to throw another kid in with no experience and start from scratch.Avo is a centre every day of the week. His step and pace suits that position. It doesn’t mean he can’t play halfback, he can and did Ok this year with a crap side.
But his best position is in the centers IMO.
He also scored and setup tries, you know the things you need to do to win games…Haha and what did Averillo do that was so special, not much
Just stating what I think his best position is, regardless if he should start at 7 next year or not for certain reasons.Probably, but he already spent a year in the halves learning the system and role Baz wants from the halfback.
