And he's 100% right. Great backrows don't win you games. We can't have all our money tied up by our pack. Burton will deadset need an upgrade after 1 season and we'll need money to land a star 1, 7 or 9.
I don't remember the last time rfm played let alone played well on the edge. We can't be relying on him to come good

It’s quite common for the fracture in a bone in the foot to require a graft, they often don’t heal without it. Autologous bone grafts have a very high success rate, way over 90%.

Have you heard whether he should have had that op in the first place. A bit of chatter that his injury wasn't well managed (or is that more scuttlebutt).

Bone fractures in the foot are often troublesome especially for professional athletes. There is not a lot of blood circulation at the extremities of the body and so they can take a long time to heal, or often not heal at all. Since it takes a long time to "naturally" heal, it's a tough call as to when you give up and progress to bone graft surgery, which generally involves taking some bone from the hip area. With 2 sites to heal, post surgery recovery is also not a short time frame in regards to ultimate success and return to playing. I don't think we can pick on the rehab process, reaching for the knife straight away is not really recommended. Maybe they could have chosen the surgery route a few weeks earlier, but he still wouldn't have played again this year anyway.

Thanks TT. Like to see an interview with Ray and see how he's going. When is he due back next season? Any idea?
