News Vegas next year ?

Dogs v Dragons in Vegas 2026 is a dream match up.

I will be there for sure.

Cheaper than you think. From what I saw packages were around 5K for everything. I was talking to a couple on Saturday night. They're going this year. They booked 4 star accommodation for 8 nights + return flights through a hotel / casino for around 2.2k per person. Game tickets would be extra. F..king good deal

Just looked online and tickets to the game are about 200usd for decent seats

Should be a few of us heading over. Never been.

One thing I hope if we do it, we send them over a week earlier.
Gus was saying he will want to look at the stay post game he feels they haul arse back to Australia too quickly.
Is on a very big reccy/factfinding mission for our crack at it next year.

Just over 2K for flights, 4 star accommodation and tickets is a steal. Sign me up.
Yeah we were adding it up the other day. Probs make it a Punter’s Club trip and whoever else is keen, should be a decent crew.

Don’t go to Vegas! Go back to Bundaberg….pppllleeeaaassseee!

If that's the case the ideal situation would be a bye in round 2 so a three week turnaround before round three.

I think all up save around 7K for one week or so!
Let's be honest you are not going Vegas to sit in the hotel room, you want to spend and have fun and unfortunately the dollar is weak!

Hope not. Look at the form of the teams post Vegas last year.

All were cooked for a month. Sure it's a nice cash grab for the club but if we want to win, it's the most ridiculous thing the club could ask for.

Manly- cooked for how long?
Brisbane- worst year after making the GF year prior, plenty of soft tissue injuries too
Roosters- started slow and ordinary a lot of the year
Rabbitohs- how bad were they?

Do you want that for us? Least they sent Penrith there so they can suck for a month this year
It depends on the draw. Last year the teams that went to Vegas played the other sides in round 2 so there was no disadvantage from the travel.
The Roosters didn’t start slow and Manly beat Penrith so not sure how ‘cooked’ they were.
Souths had Ilias, Murray and Latrell miss a lot of games which had nothing to do with Vegas

It takes teams longer to recover coming home especially athletes. Should be 2 weeks between the Vegas Round and "round 2" imo. That for me is the best compromise, just push the Vegas games forward. Hardly a fan of these games though serves utterly no purpose we aint transforming blokes in Vegas into league fans.

If you are going, can I recommend booking some shows (and book ahead). These are what makes Vegas. There are singers, magic shows (my pref have seen Copperfield there), Cirque du Soleil is another world famous show that I highly recommend. Most are held in the casinos, and there are sports bars inside them, etc. I go to Vegas most years for a conference.

Knights supremo Phil Gardner has put in a submission for Newcastle to go to Vegas.
Where's Canterbury Bankstowns submission?
Match up good fun rivalry
