Everything is relative. Fauci isn't exactly rich. And his lawyers will be competing with the lawyers of billionaires.

But there has been cases of rich people getting false convictions. One of the most famous ones was a sports team accused of rape. All young adults from rich families and they still copped a false rape conviction because they had already been tried by the media.

DOJ is separate from the office of the President. That's how it's always meant to be. That's why Hunter Biden was arrested and convicted. Because the DOJ operates independently of any government. The issue is that Trump doesn't like that. Project 2025 stated that they want to force the DOJ to act on behalf of the President.
